Virtual drives giving "bad block" errors in Event Viewer

Grr. I've tried mounting images of my Brood War and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne CDs with both Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools. Immediately after I mount the images, Event Viewer kicks out the following error message:

Hm, actually, re-dumping the CDs to image files seems to have fixed the problem. Perhaps the image files were damaged when data on my 200GB drive was corrupted back at the end of April. It seems chkdsk can fix a lot, but not everything.

I'll leave this thread on the forums in case anyone googles for solutions to a similar problem.
