Very angry with install OS to SSD

Btw, typing on a iPad.

Ive been trying to install windows 7 64-bit onto the OCZ 120GB SSD for 5 HOURS and keeps giving me the same error.

Setup.exe: wrong volume.....GRMCHPXFREO_EN_DVD
Error code: 0x80070022

The SSD and Hard drive are formatted, so they are COMPLETELY EMPTY!
SSD is master and hard drive is slave.

I will try again tomorrow and try a full format to the SSD.
So, it's really only one of two problems.

OCZ 120 GB SSD is a big brown poop hardware
OR my windows 7 64-bit cd is old, crappy and dumb.

Here's what I'd try... ignore what you have already done.

- Check the firmware on the OCZ. I've had two of these and firmware updates make a difference
- Do the install without the other harddrive present
- Like blsimpson said, try another install source

Depends on where you bought your key. If it's OEM then only another OEM disk works. If it's retail, etc. If we figure out the type of Win 7 (Home / Pro / N / Ent) and the key type then we can figure out another disc / download.

CorpFox, Id really check the SSD firmware. The main reason I bought a INTEL over an OCZ was the fact that OCZ has had firware issues.

I didn't think it was important but it took 30 mins to load Win7 OS and 30 more mins to reach the loading screen and then 1 hour to be stuck at 0% until the error pops up.

Ive had the DVD-R/W for 5 years. I could buy a new one.

I checked the win7 OS DVD to another computer, it ran fast and smoothly.

The problem is defiantly the DVD-ROM because it took almost 2 hours just to fail at 0%.

I'll have a look at the current ROM drives. If its cheap, I'll get a DVD/blu-ray combo.

When I bought Windows 7 Home Premium, I couldn't get my laptop's DVD-R/W drive to read the OS DVD.

I then dumped the DVD to ISO using my desktop computer, then burned the resulting ISO to a DVD+R.

My laptop read the DVD+R just fine.

Official DVD: No go.

Burned DVD+R copy: Worked perfectly.

Got it installed with the new dvd-rom and it works.

Now the only problem is my wireless adapter isn't working, so no Internet.

With win7 on the SSD, it took 15 seconds to boot up, so that's nice.

I'm really angry that I still cannot get the Internet.

Says it works but windows 7 is becoming dumber.

It also makes me insane when this happened every time I reformat the hard drive and somehow works randomly.

It blinks for a few secs then stops completely.

The upbeat music makes it interesting.

I FINALLY HAVE WIRELESS INTERNET!

I seriously want to choke Windows 7 to death.

Oh ya, admin, close this thread and the Corpfox giveaway contest!

I do enjoy windows 7.... i dont feel right using an os named metro in the future...
