V

Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

I enjoyed the movie...but the concept is an oppo-Revelation movie... Most of us would fear an earth consumed and ruled by atheists, this movie shows an atheist view of a world ran by religion, and tries to say that all religious figures are corrupt... Yes, I enjoyed the movie...but it's meaning is horrible...

I'm going to need you to elaborate a little more. QUICK! There's only 3 days left of V-day!

You can look at it in different aspects, but yeah the message is pretty dumb.

I don't think the idea behind the movie is that religion itself is horrible. The idea was that a state religion is horrible. And that is a sentiment I can agree with.

Truthfully, I didn't even look at it from that POV as the big, bad religious order.

But rather, the troubles inherent in any type of totalitarian government. One where there are censors and those who wish to control how you think/act. Frankly, I saw it as a very intriguing retelling of 1984... *shrugs*

Equilibrium was awesome...

...and I think not just state religion is bad, I think all religion is bad...religion only separates and divides...denominations within "our" so called religion just pulls us more apart, and I see the word denomination as just another "soft" word for different religions...How can someone believe the Bible but not in the Holy Spirit, or not believe that God heals us, or not believe that God provides...I could keep going but I think I made my point...(I probably didn't make my point because I am tired...lol...)
