Kidan is a type of mongolian  scholar, that invented a script used by nomadic mongolians, commonly refered to as Big/Small Kidan  )Example of Kidan script


I wish I could say that the name appealed to me as it's a type of scholar (the way the term Berean appeals to  most who study Christiantity and apologetics in general.  but it's nothing so wonderful.  It's a typo, or more accurately I didn't have my glasses on, and the print in a dictionary was a tad to small..  I thought I was spelling  Kidron which is a river valley in Isreal.  This was way back in High School when I thought I was to be an illustrator when I grew  up (College effectively destroyed that idea)  but anyways, I was drawing and illustrating and doing comic style artwork, and one of my own creations, I named Kidan (thinking I was naming it after the river valley.  Well a few years go past, and the college things happen which destroyed my desire to have any dealings with the art world outside of being a consumer, and I  really get into computers and the internet, and find this great place called the Webchat Broadcasting Service.  The WBS eventually went to a username system, and someone had gotten the name I was using, so I pulled the name Kidan  out to log into the WBS with and have been  using it computerwise ever since.

Lots of people do. It's not a totally random choice of letters... it relates somewhat to a sorta inside joke I have with my cousin. Very naive and nonsensical. I don't understand fully myself, but it is not a fully random choice, but mostly random... if there is such a thing. Yeah, and I occasionally play sc from time to time, but I'm not that great, and mostly play when I'm really bored or testing maps that another cousin of mine makes..

Whoa kidan's name has an interesting history!

Map testing? Hrm?

mpty - Send me an IM when you test out those maps. I made a few Starcraft maps m'self Back In The Day™ and always enjoy diversifying my Starcraft experience. You can find my IM info in my IkonBoard profile.
 
eeeep! I don't play that much, and my cousin's maps.... Well, they do leave something to be desired(no offense to him-when he has the time - not often - he plays with StarEdit, but I couldn't do better), in comparison to some people's most excellent maps. I can't make maps worth a tinker's dam...
 
Minotesvardet really has no meaning, except to me and a few of my friends. I began a story last year, and minotes vardet means "little warrior" in it.
Not that I'm a warrior.....lol

I also neglected to mention that my last name, Wallace, has something to do with my username. Put the two together and you get Sir Ryan Wallace. I chose it because of my relation to Braveheart, Sir William Wallace.

By the way, I'm learning a lot about everyone's username. I hope more peeps will tell about their's.
