Finally the National Championship is here I will be on after the game. I am going for USC for the plain fact I do not like Texas (The School) Sorry Halonic :0). I am going to say the Score will be 85 - 0 USC. Lol Just kidding 35 - 30 USC I hope for a close good football game like Penn State and Florida State Last night!!!

Lol but Champions win Championships. Let me remind you of the last 2 National Champions who were they? oh yeah it was those USC guys!! Go Gators!! I mean Trojans
 
I grew up in San Antonio, but I went to an Art School in Columbus Ohio. Plus my parents raised me to be a die-hard Buckeye fan...

... so ever since that game between UT and OSU.... i've been a little anti-Texas...

Go USC.

I hate to bust your bubble....but USC only won the LAST ONE national championship. Two years ago USC didnt even play in the national championship game. That honor belonged to LSU and Oklahoma. LSU was national champ two years ago (as my Pastor from Louisiana is so fond of reminding me).

In the BCS final rankings that year before the major bowls, USC was ranked third. The AP ended up crowning them THEIR national champ after the season ended (that and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee). However, all the coaches had agreed before the season began to accept the BCS winner as champion. Sooooo, USC is trying for their SECOND consecutive national championship.

Glad we got THAT straight.
 
Yeah but that still is considered a Share of the National CHampionship. Look at the history of college ball there have been many co Champions.
 
im still rooting for the cougars who were there........ well it doesnt really matter, go whichever school is better..... well techinically its USC cuz their #1 in the nation last time i checked.... soooo..... GO COUGS!

I totally disagree. Pete Carroll agreed to play by the rules of the BCS before that season even began. BCS rules say the national champion will result from the winner of the bowl game where the BCS number 1 and number 2 play. USC was #3 in the BCS two years ago so they could NOT EVEN WIN A SHARE OF THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

The AP poll has not crowned a national champion since the BCS came into effect. The AP poll is not even used in figuring BCS standings this year.

You may as well say that the winner of the Harris poll or the NY Times poll or the Podunck Times poll will declare the national champion.

The rules say BCS. If you play by the rules that all the colleges play by USC is trying for their SECOND in a row.
 
Congrats Halonic and the Horns!! One of the best games I have ever seen!! over 1,000 Yards of Offense WOW!! Words cannot say how good that game was. Texas is lucky to have Young otherwise they lose. I told you that Halonic Texas has Young ONLY reason they win and boy is he good. Again Congrats!!! BTW I think think the BCS is awefull and totally needs to be redone not this year but all the previous years they have really messed up like Oklahoma should have played USC not LSU. God Bless!!!
 
Of course, that's all moot now.

Vince Young is the BEST college football player I've seen in my lifetime. Yes, that includes Reggie Bush, who is a close second-- just like USC was this year. How does someone run and throw for over 200 yards each in the national title game? That was the single greatest pressure performance since Doug Flutie Hail Mary'ed his way to that win over Miami. (I still have nightmares about that play. <shudder>)
 
Moot point. USC are champions no more. The only team with a streak of national championship wins now is the Texas Longhorns.

Lol......I had to add this because the last 3 posts all hit at the same time. We definitely will agree that the BCS is messed up. A playoff would be wonderful.

Last word.......Vince will be back next year.

Was that not an amazing game?!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole way. Vince was amazing! Oh, and he'll be back next year to take that Heisman to complete his collegiate trophy collection.

What a year for the 'horns. We won the College World Series right here in Omaha and now we've won the football championship as well. I can't wait to move back down to my REAL home later this year.
 
Bush is Good and All but I like White from USC as a RB much better. Good Combo of Size,Power, and Speed yes I said speed he was MVP till Young Took over in 4th.
