A grandfather of a friend of mine is going in to have surgery on the 10th of this month to fix a problem with a blocked artery. If the initial surgery doesn't work, he'll of course need to go through more..
I ask that you pray for him and his family, as I'm sure it's a very emotional period for everyone concerned. I also ask that you'll stay with the doctor and the nurses and give them support as they perform and assist each other during the surgery.
For that same friend, her dad was attacked at the prison he works for and I'm told was nearly killed. He's on leave without pay from the government, and I ask that you keep a mind on him and the family he supports. I don't know of their financial status, but I still ask that we can make sure they are well cared and provided for, and that her dad will be able to recover soon.
