Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree may not blossom. Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail.
And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold. And there be no herd in the stalls -
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Yes, yes it is 2 verses, us geezers can't count. But these 2 verses are an important building block in understanding being happy and counting what matters.
We can willingly decide to take joy in God and His salvation, even when things are not what we have worked for. We can choose to focus either on what we don't have, or what we do have, which is a loving God who has provided salvation.
