What Voice chat should we use?

Ok, seeing as how TS usage has picked up. We want to take a vote. What do you all prefer?

If we go with vent. Our guild will need to donate towards it along with the other guilds that use it. I believe that $7-10 usd every 3 months is the break down.
 
I am OK with either, I tried both recently and they sounded fine. I do like Vent better because it allows me to use my preferred mouse button and any of my 360 controller buttons to PushToTalk. With TS I have to use a keyboard key and that is a bummer.
 
Whatever method we settle on, It's my hope that we only use one service.
This is just opinion and not meant to be disruptive.
It would be hard to have to manage two different communication methods.


I know how to use Vent and know it's settings.
However, I can adapt to whatever we use.
I use a Mac so just need to make sure the Speex codec is set for Vent on the server.
Please consider having sub channels set up for various groups.
For example:
General channel ( for people just wanting to login and chat, a place to 'hang out')
Group channel 1 ( for groups that are doing questing )
Group channel 2...
PvP Channel 1 ( for coordinated PvP events / groups )
PvP Channel 2

Personally, I don't hop on Vent/TS unless I'm in a group or if someone invites me to chat.

FYI, I will definitely donate to the vent as needed. It is a great service and I love seeing my friends in Redeemed-WoW. It is nice to have other ppl to chat with when no one in Guild is on.

We should have it on the Legion MotD so members can see it. I dunno if we want to post it here since it has no password. I'll PM you the info right now.

ah ok. I dont see the info in the MotD. I'll keep looking for it. I do see a message when I log in, but there's no info regarding the Vent IP and password in that message.
 
I did a search on the forums and eventually found it in the Redeemed info. I'll try to track it down tonight and check with UXZero about adding it to the MotD if the ventrillo move is official.
 
Ya, it's official, were using vent. I also have a few votes for vent from the game that are not posted.

I updated the Elect Guild list post with the vent info. I'm not sure I can get it in the in-game announcement. I have very little space to work with.
