we're playing a map... then at the end of the map, someone types in... nextmap... it says 'dust2' and i'm like WOO HOO!!! but then it goes to... de_airstrip... ack

well i hope someone can fix this, and can we have like a vote in the forums on fixing this dumb mapcycle? cause we don't play aztec, we play assault, we play airstrip we never play dust2 only if we vote, bottom line = OUR MAP CYCLE SUCKS! [i think that if we had more attractive maps more people would play on our servers] Just letting you guys know some people are annoyed by the map de_airstrip...
P.S. don't forget add dust2 and aztec!

Frag, we have never had a problem with getting people on the server. Although I agree, airstrip and militia are not that liked so they have been removed.

As far as admin_mod's nextmap not working correctly, I'll look into it when I have more time.
 
Er...I think Militia needs to be put back on! That is a great classic map. Airstrip is okay...so leave that off. Anyone else want Militia back on?
 
I like militia, although it seems that T's have a definate advantage. The hardest part of that map is getting the CTs to work together as a team. Airstrip, I am neither here nor there on. I enjoy it, its different from the rest of the maps.

As for the nextmap command not working...I've noticed when an admin changes the map, or when a vote changes a map out of cycle, the nextmap command is often wrong.
 
Bah, everytime I play militia, it is a fight to keep people from stacking the terrorists with awpers. Agreed, it is a good map when you have two "teams" playing it. But for general pubbing, gameplay degrades on that map very quickly. Should be reserved for when an admin can vote it into play and maintain order on the server.

Airstrip is already gone. But you need more than militia is a classic map to keep it in the rotation.

i say bring back militia.. also we could try the new CZ maps if we cna find a download for them.. torn/stadium/fastline/downed

truth be told, I'd rather have airstrip than militia. airstrip is a much better map than militia...
 
Who else wants Militia back on? I guess we leave it up to the people that play on the server the most, after all this is a democracy!
 
Run a map vote on it ingame. There's your democracy.

I don't have any problem reinstating the map as long as the T's are forced to use mac10s.

Joking aside, create a "poll" about it and I will reinstate it if it gets a majority vote.
 
well, while we're discussing map rotation, can we get rid of prodigy, an replace cs_assualt with cs_assualt_upc?
 
Hmmm we needa fix dust 2 and keep militia, but don't have it auto cycle to militia that often. just skip assault or make it a lot less frequent...
 
Bah, Wal-Mart gets old fast. Although, I did get a score of over 100 on Wal-Mart once, and I have the screen shot to prove it if anyone wants to see it

I think the closest guy was like 47.

Militia isn't that bad, but Rizz is right on about airstrip, even the guy who made the map admits it's not timed well and may adjust it. The original assault is fine too, with large numbers, but adding upc would be nice

. Oh, and if there were a way to give less popular maps less rotation, and maybe cut down on the total time spent on each map. Now it's something like a half hour. That's a long time, especially when one of the less popular maps is up.

We could get the entire cz mappack, I think BwP has it on their site, an admin could d/l it and put it up on ours. All the textures and models in CZ rawk the face off of CS.
 
Militia bleh.. yuk.. :x it's the major stackage map.. and usually they'd side for Ts. onlytime i eversaw CTs on advantage was when they spammed shield.... 9CT v 8Ts, all 9 cts used shields.. it was hilarious.
