I switched to enhancement as that is how i LOVE to play my shaman.

I knew ahead of time that my dps would not compare to that of an Elemental Shaman any longer but I was hoping to gather enough feedback from Rogues/Hunters that have raided with me in the last week or so to justify my being selfish in speccing Enhancement. This would also apply to anyone who has gotten the benefit of my WF totem i.e. warrior/pally.

I will play my toon the way I want to play my toon, it just so happens that I wish to be a utility in a raid. I want to enhance the other players so they can do better, but if the increase in damage/crit/health/mana regen is not or probably will not benefit the guild in later raids or is currently of no real benefit, well then I will happily go back to what is best for the guild. Either Restoration or Elemental.

I love my shaman, I love all of the specs of my shaman. I will play any of them.

I am aware some of you will post for me to: "play how i want to play", to that i say: Trust me, I will.

I am just looking for feedback! Thanks for everything!

p.s. I have been really reading about cast rotations/totem use in high end raids lately and I have seen a noted increase in my DPS. Time will only make me better.

Do what makes you happy:P No sense in paying $15 a month to play a game if its not how you want to do it

According to WWS parses, enhancement > elemental in most all of the top 50 guilds. So keep working on it, you are crazy DPS waiting to unleash.

Certain classes and certain specs are not about being number 1 on the DPS. Shadowpriests tend to be number one but that is not necessarily their lot on all encounters. Its what each class and spec brings to the raid that also matters. Vamperic embrace and Vamperic touch are huge boons to the raid. Different totems from different speced shamans, the crit chance of oomkins, different pally buffs etc etc etc.

Sometimes you are number 1 on the charts sometimes you are number 10. One Kara run I was number 1 in DPS...go figure, but thats another story!

Don't worry about it too much man, you should probably give it more time and since it is the spec that you want. All specs of shaman have never been known for there extreme personal dps, that job is left for certain other classes and specs. Hopefully you were able to learn a good amount from the elitistjerks website Tree and I talked to you about (windfury graph!)

Anyways, since I did get a chance to look at your gear just now you still have a few blues on you left that you can still replace as well as getting your weapons enchanted with mongoose. Getting good activatable trinkets like bloodlust brooch (badge gear) or some other great melee trinkets (Hourglass of the Unraveler, Dragonspine Trophy).

But yea, don't fret man, you've still got time to practice and figure all the ins and outs of enhancement. Enhancement is just heavily gear dependent just like most melee classes.

Yeah azami! I have learned a ton so far and I started adding up the points for all of my gear the other day.

I have also started to figure out the right cast order for my abilities. That website has been a big help and As i continue to get more gear I am noticing a big difference in my dps/effectiveness.

Learn learn, gear up, learn again, put into practice, gear up, practice, learn learn and learn some more and before you know it, you are as powerful as a tree!

Just keep with it BluBarry, it may not be as high of DPS as elemental in the long run, but it has a lot of other raid benefit, much like for me as a hunter being survival instead of MM/BM specs. A little lower in the DPS, but brings a lot to a raid. I am glad that you are going out of your way to help better the entire raid.

as as my DPS is concerned... last night in mag i was between 2nd and 4th on the dmg meters... that is most likely because i lived when others died, but ya know... still counts... cause i lived :D
