I seem to have the worst luck known when it comes to this one peice dropping. The devout crown has eluded me for months. And I'm not talking about seeing it drop and loosing the roll. I'm saying, I've never seen it drop. As pretty much everybody knows, if I am not in a battleground, I'm in Scholomance hoping for the devout crown to drop. Other then those two places, I've run DM-West and a Strath (SM and Baron) once. Thats it.

So I think its time for a poll.
 
I spent another 2 hours with a crappy scholo group to watch Lightforge drop. This is so sickenning. I'm this || close to deleting it. This amazing stupidity is enough. Blizzard, fix your randomization, I shouldn't be as far into revered with Argent dawn as I am never to have seen the devout crown drop. That is utterly ridiculous.

Klangdon has the Crown of the Ogre kingAlong with the Crimson Felt Hat... nice 18 int, 16 stamina ans 11 spirit, 1% to crit with spells. Got it from DM north Tribute run. But seriously... look at avesther. That character has all the armor i wish klang had (Dreadmist and Magisters anyway). And i will take me forever to get it. If i were you i would be happy with Avesther as she is :)

Another run down the drain. Shadowcraft boot, shadowcraft bracers and shadowcraft cap. All on the same run.

Devout crown:

13 stamina
24 intellect
15 spirit

And because its the last peice of the set: +50 to healing.

At the rate I'm going, maybe about 30 more runs and I'll be exhaulted with the Argent Dawn.

Just create an alt and level him.. one item is really not that big of a deal. You really shouldn't get so discouraged about not getting one item, especially when you have all of the rest of the set.

Stop letting this get to you GP.. there are many other things to this game than just a headpiece..
 
I've already accomplished 99.9% of the other things the game has to offer, that I can reasonably expect to experience.

I have two goals for Avesther:

1. Get the entire Devout Set
2. Get the entire Blue PvP Set.


I have no interest in grinding levels again at this time.

It’s a credo we had drawn on our vehicles and ambulances; when I was a young Triage Sergeant with Medic’s in an Infanty Battalion and Before that in the CAV platoon in an Infantry Brigade. We ran this cedo hard. Meaning no matter how much lead was flying or what the extent of bombs dropping or chaos, no matter what the area looked like, either we were all going home or Die trying! Literially :)

Of course this happened in another life it seems like and another time. But I brought that forward in my civilian life as well; and my play style. Hence why I am the greatest Druid that ever lived! *Soft smile*

MY POINT is you fail at achieving your devout crown, when you choose to fail, when the odds get you so down and depressed you give up. Of all the abilities that will grant you success, not skill or talent or luck will bring you what raw uninhibited determination will.

No more crying! There’s no crying in baseball!!(If you didn’t see “A league of their own” you wouldn’t find it funny  )

So if you need take a break, get your head together, and relax enjoy the game. Take some time level an alt, go play so golf(real golf) or whatever

BUT THEN come back and *Wicked Grin*

Funny you should bring up golf. All the golf courses here in Calgary are under snow.

I play golf, I'd say my skill in the game is somewhere between outrageously pitiful and absolutely non-existant. But on a 18 hole course, I'll put that amazingly stupid little white ball into 18 cups if its the last thing I do. I'll putt 5 times if I have to. But I will not redo the hole because I can't get the putt to drop, nor will I go back to the begining of the course, nor will I quit the course and start at another course. My friends and I will laugh at my bad luck and stuborness and down another beer in the process. I've never thrown a golf club, but I've come quite close.

By the way, the devout crown is supposed to have the highest set peice drop rate from Darkmaster Gandling at just under 8%. Lightforge the lowest at just over 4%. I've had Myrmidian Signet drop for me twice in Scholo, it has a less then 0.01% chance of dropping.

Count on me being in Scholo tonight. Probably 5 man, guild only if its possible. 10 man PuG otherwise. Maybe put in another 2 runs again and maybe some Arathi Basin.

I will be more than happy to join you on your quest to get the helm Aves but remember... its only a helm. I want the blue PVP set for klang too :)

Btw ppl if we get 9 more guildies we can run scholo for av :) fast run so no jandice and crap like that...so we can do multiple runs if av wants to
