Thorns
Thorns sprout from the target, causing 18 nature damage to attackers when hit. Lasts 10 minutes. 320 mana.
Thorns is a buff druids apply to themselves and their party members. 18 damage per attack is not a great deal, but in PvP it can’t hurt. In PVE, thorns increases the amount of damage a tank is doing to whatever is attacking, so its helps them to maintain a monster’s focus on them (keeping a monster’s focus on oneself is called holding aggro). Not a game changing spell by any means, but nice nonetheless.
Im posting this because someone said thorns generates more aggro to the caster of thorns. Im pretty sure that is not true

So..the druid do not from wowwiki says....
Druid
You give water and an Arcane Intellect buff, but you should get a Mark of the Wild buff out of it. Do not get Thorns in instances; you do not want to create more threat. Balance druids can use their Tier 7 talent Moonkin Form. This aura will increase the critical hit chance of spells by 3% for the druid's party members within a 30-yard radius.
When there is a druid (healing) and a mage in a group they should stay close to each other in the back. If it happens that the druid gets aggro the mob aproches the druid and then the mage will cast Frost Nova so the mobs get stuck to the ground giving the tank/offtank chance to retake aggro.
so......
do not cast thorns on party members if you are having aggro mgmt problems.

so like..a million levels ago when gilidararararar, woven, harlee and I(daire - formerly dymphna) were all little toons 4 manning instances (and yes we did 4 man all instances until uldaman I think --- and I HEALED) I used to cast thorns on everything(and by everything I mean if I saw a mob I would prob. try to cast thorns on that too) because I knew nothing about wow and Renee would always take it off or ask me not to cast it on her..ok I get that now even though I still do it on accident sometimes lol.
Anyway, my point is if you are with a resto druid and it casts thorns on you - those thorns are not going to generate EVEN MORE aggro to the already highly selfish aggro druid healbot monsters.....
so I hope this clears up any confussion on what thorns actually does.
Maybe I just misunderstood what this person said, although I'm pretty sure I didnt...lol. Anyway, Ive been reading about thorns for an hour to be positive its not true and I am correct...
So..apparently druids are getting a level 10 wolf form.......... today someone asked in the trade channel "at level 10 how do I get my wolf form, im a level 10 druid?" My response was sarcastic..as could be expected from me "you have to travel to the dark portal and cross over, on the other side there is a relic, once you get it you will have level 10 druid wolf form" I get a /whisper ..the name will remain annony. "Will you take me there please". . . . . . . . .
Ive been playing with old schools finest a bit or running with pugs. SIGN #1 your pug will wipe 6 million times in shadow labs... " are you stupid you don't have a cape or a hat on" coming from another level 70 character...
Ok.. have a nice day.
