Bonk!Ow!

I recently have picked up the "Zombie Survival Guide" and am constructing a home defense plan.

I've got shotguns and a .22, also a kukri (wikipedia if you don't know) and hatchet.

My plan is to grab canned food and climb onto the roof with survival tools and the above-listed weapons if it's a smallish uprising, wait 'em out since they can't climb, and if/when they lose interest because of a more conspicuous target (the danged dogs the neighbors have that bark all day, perhaps, although they'd naturally flee the zombies anyway... so not sure how I'll figure that one out), I'll lower the ladder and make for the woods and live in the trees for a couple weeks and keep in touch with the world with a battery powered radio. If all else fails, I'd head for the Great Lakes and bunk out on some boat with supplies until the National Guard and local police forces can liberate my state (if there's a class 2 or 3 uprising)

In event of a successful Class 4 uprising, I'm planning on heading for the far reaches of Alaska. I'll say hi to Palin for you guys :p

Make sure to drop by my place in Fairbanks, got plenty of room and food. o_o

pfft, my plan is to get 3 friends, hand them shot guns with limited ammo and go run around in wear houses at night with little dim flash lights.

oh you guys, now I am sooo inspired to write a zombie story, methinks a CGA fanfic is in the works? LOLOLOLOL stay tuned!

Heh, would be alot cooler if it was a video than a story.

Like a gameplay video of you, in your story of Dead Rising.

You could give it some narrations, back plots, suspenseful scenes, etc.

Or just make a video of any zombie game you played and show everyone how well you beat it or barely survived.

I prefer swords more, the zombies have to get in melee range anyways, so why not use something that you NEVER have to reload?

I personally would vote for zombie president. The zombie life is for teh win. No worries, just roam around looking for brains... Not a care in the world.

Personally, I would use a .40 or .45 with a katana (a wakizashi may be better due to the shorter length). Of course a good pump action 12 gauge can't be beat as a primary.

Can you carry that much?

A big handgun, a very big shotgun and a lightweight sword.

Realistically, due to my size:

- One 9mm Pistol (Preferable a Glock)
- One Backpack
- One Steel Baseball bat
- Five 9mm Clips
- Five boxes of 9mm ammo
- Belt that holds Pistol Clips (If it exists)

Personally, I'm only skilled with blunt weapons and small pistols.

.40 and .45 handguns arn't that big. I like the USP Compact, or even the standard USP. Both are fairly small and easy to carry. The larger round will allow you to knock back the zombie more. 9mm tend to be frowned upon as they don't have much punch.

Shotguns aren't that heavy, and you can often cut off the barrel to shorten it.

A baseball bat is heavy and you will have a hard time killing zombies for good with it. A good sword or knife will allow you to severe the head from the body, ending the threat in one stroke. Better performance/weight ratio.

Phh. You want punch get a .454 casull with a ported barrel. A zombie won't be getting up after a round from one of those and there isn't much recoil. Not to mention you could add a scope if you want some long(er) range shooting.

And maybe I would bring along a spear as a walking stick as well, and if things get a little too close and hectic for comfort there's always the good old fashioned sword and shotgun mix. Pistol, sword, all carried on a hefty belt, shotgun on the back with the backpack, and a spear. I'm ready to rock some zombies.

I am sure if you were presented with a zombie in your room wanting to make sweet sweet love to your brains then i am sure you would be content with beating him to death with your slippers, if thats all you had to hand at the time...

Actually, my kukri knife is next to my bed--not because of zombies, but because it's so PRETTY

here is a picture of one to those who don't know what I'm talking about (THIS ISN'T MINE, IT'S FROM WIKI):

Your Pistols are pretty close to the .50 guns.

To ammo, I'd rather have a weak 17-33 bullet Glock than a "knock-back" 18 bullet USP, or a powerful 7 bullet, Deagle.

To compatibility, most 9mm can use on Sub-Machine Guns, if I could ever find one in a zombie-infested world. (Hopefully, from a dead soldier)

In response to the baseball bat, its exactly what Rizz said.

I'd rather bash and clobber the zombie till I feel it is dead than a clean kill from a sword.

Also, in use for brutality, I would use a Sledge Hammer than a Chain-saw.
