Planning on calling Amazon support to complain and ask for a replacement after my daughter falls asleep tonight.
 
Ever think that the HDD moved away from the bags during transit? I highly doubt they just stuck there in the corner.
 
i've had this from amazon more than once..never had this type of issue with newegg..sometimes the cheaper price isn't worth it. I'll bu from amazon if it is shipped via a partner but not directly from amazon.
 
I emailed Amazon about the issue last night before I went to bed and I had an email when I checked first thing when I woke up this morning saying they would ship a replacement. They provided a shipping label by email, which I printed out and attached to the box. I plan to drop it by a UPS store later today. According to the email, I should have my replacement drive by Tuesday. I wish they'd just gotten it right the first time, but it looks like they're making it right!
 
lol...I have bought DVDs I decided I didn't want - no problem - download a return slip - credit my account.

I love their, "When do you want us to call you?" call back. I always choose "immediately" and they do.

The only thing I don't like about Amazon is that now I have to pay California state taxes.
