This is a weird, but is related here, question.

The problem is, when I hold the left click mouse and drag the mouse to the left, its not going left very well and fast.

In CS, whenever I am shooting rapid-fire(automatic) and move left to aim where i'm trying to aim, it gets stuck, and eventually, I get killed.  I have cleaned the mouse hole twice, the mouse ball twice, and the mouse itself twice. I do hear alot of clicking when I move the mouse left, even the ball itself sounds loud on a mouse pad.

Would Steam have a sensativity on only moving left? Or Mouse settings; only moving left; on control panel?

I was also thinking (and hoping) of getting a Wireless & Balless mouse, would it be good to have?

[Edit]I'm trying using ClickLock from the control panel, mouse. I can click and drag without holding the it.

corp... my money would be to pick up a balless mouse. I have a corded one and I don't know much about wireless, but I do know that most require a battery for a source of power and you would be changing that every once in a while.

Go optical dude, I haven't had a single problem with mine after I got rid of the mice with the ol' ball...

An optical mouse isn't much these days, and it'll help your game a bit. I have a Logitech MX700 and It's great, but you don't need to go wireless like I did. MX500's are good gaming mice, and you might even want to try just a run of the mill optical if you don't want to spend much (Microsoft or whoever).

heck i use a ball and im fine. u might want to actually clean ur mouse.

use a damp towel, cover it, and rub it the mouse ball. use a brush or tissue paper to clean out the dirt inside the mouse and try to blow out the dirt/dust if not, try getting them out with your fingers. A Friend told me this. (not exactly, but close)

I think I should get a newer mouse, been using this 'emachine' mouse over 3 years and it doesnt even have a mouse scroll.

I can see why you people are into Optical Mouses.
a tracking technology so advanced that you get instant response to even your fastest movements. You'll get outstanding performance and a comfortable fit in an eye-catching design. ; for smooth, accurate performance

Yes, get the one with a scroll button - you can scroll thru your weapons easier instead of hitting the respective keys...

theres a difference between cleaning and CLEANING your mouse. and if a ball mouse is over 2 years of age... -_-. they tend to break down after 2 years for me. heck i used a ball for 8 months and the clicker on it broke
