He's the only one with enough money to actually buy his own overpriced software, and with all the computers in his home, buying enough copies of the software for them keeps Microsoft alive.

actually, the windows GUI split off from MAC after Windows 3.1


and BOTH of them are a rip of a GUI made by those guys in Xerox, who decided to not be capitalistic and gave it away.

didn't they also rip the idea of the mouse from those poor xerox guys as well?

you're not allowed to see windows source code... the only outside organization thats allowed to see parts of Windows' source is the Chinese government...
 
How sad. Someone should pull something like they did in the movie Antitrust. Grab the source code and give it all to the world. You know what...go to the main CGA General Discussion forum. I'm going to make a topic about that.

I saw someone on the internet that said they found the source code for windows and they posted it (its on www.albinoblacksheep.com so its probably not true) it was really short
 
considering Windows takes up a gig of space on your HDD (more depending on the OS), the source code should be roughly 1.5-2 gigs.
 
Well, bear in mind, the amount of space Windows takes up is a lot of sub-programs, graphics, and other multimedia crap that's not really OS-related. I can see the source for the overall OS being a few hundred megs, but that's just my own uninfomed opinion.
