Hello all Jedi Knight players! I just stumbled upon this link today that describes the upcoming sequel to Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Accademy. Sounds pretty cool, and I could tell from the screen shots that you get to have 2 lightsabers! Click here for the preview.

I didn't watch the trailer; it took too long. (Another reason to dump 56k dial ups).

Yes! This game sounds great. I'm really looking forward to it. The trailer was actually a little disappointing. It was fairly dark. You will be able to wield a regular saber, two single sabers, and a double-bladed saber. You get to choose in the SP game which one you want and you will be trained accordingly.

I'm also hearing extremely positive remarks for "Knights of the Old Republic". It's already out for Xbox.
 
Muwahahaha!  I finally get to roast some Tuskan raiders with a double-bladed light saber!!!

Hopefully they will clean up the MP options so it doesnt suck as hard as Jk2 does with the old force/backstab i can kill everything combo.

Still theres nothing more satisfying that plowing through a ton of stormtroopers with a saber
 
Actually, there are Jedi Outcast mods which let you use the double-bladed saber.  Sometimes our clan will play "Get the Dark Jedi".  The Dark Jedi has a double-bladed saber and everyone else uses the single saber.  It's some type of a server mod.

But Jedi Academy will of course have specific moves you will need to learn which are associated with the different saber styles.

Rizz, the backstab thing they got rid of in about version 1.3. Backstab doesn't do nearly as much damage. I think MP is quite fun and play just about every night.
 
Now I wish I had stuck with it a little longer...I played through SP once and then hit multiplayer. It stank so bad that I got rid of it...I think that was at 1.1
 
ditto tasty.. tho the single player got a bit tedious too. I might grab a copy cheap though if they fixed the mp issues.
 
They are now up to 1.4 and there are loads of tweaks and balances for multiplayer. All I can say is, the MP game is fun for me. Many people think everything is out of balance. I don't think so. If you are new, you will still get whooped. If you have two good players, you will have long duels. Being in a clan, and playing a lot, have helped me. I now know many moves and I have a few I'm currently practicing to get better. There is definitely an art to it.

If you can't find the game cheap, you may want to forget it. Unless you want to replay the single player. I am thinking many of the JO servers will convert to Jedi Academy.
