An Israeli minister is raising fears about the possibility the Al Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem could collapse on worshipers during the Muslim holiday of Ramadan next month, and he recommends limiting the number of people entering the Temple Mount.
Interior Security Minister Gideon Ezra warned that a damaged section of the 2,000-year-old eastern wall of the compound could come down on throngs of worshipers. More than 200,000 Muslims are expected to visit the compound for Ramadan services.
Ezra urged that work to strengthen the mosque plaza should start immediately or warned Israel would need to limit access during Ramadan for safety reasons.
Ezra's concerns echo a recent report by Israel's Technion Institute that found the eastern wall of the Temple Mount may cave in on an underground architectural support of the mount, known as the Solomon's Stables. The underground site, which was converted by the Islamic Wakf in the late 1990s into what is now the largest mosque in Israel, can accommodate up to 30,000 worshipers.
Ezra told Israeli public radio that "the roof of this structure is at risk of collapsing under the weight of the worshipers. ... Israel cannot take such a risk.”
Ezra said he doubted the problems could be fixed in time for Ramadan.
Israeli officials have said any structural catastrophe at the shrine would be blamed by the Islamic world on Israel, and could aggravate violence in the region

that the mosque could colapse? Yes. Prophecy can't be fulfilled until the Jewish temple can be rebuilt. Mosque has to be gone first.

Yes, I'm happy. Once the mount collapses then that will be a signal that Jesus will return soon and take us Home with him.

I pray for those not saved and are possible victims for the tumbling...but yes this is a signal...praise god JESUS IS COMING! JESUS IS COMING!

Whoo...that will sure cause some rumblings in Isreal. I imagine muslims will want to rebuild the mosque in the same spot..

I am not familiar with the particular mount--is there room for two places of worship?

Matthew 24:42 - 51

42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,'
49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

While indications of the time when our Saviour is to return are exciting and can bring comfort, please remember that we are to be living as though He will return at any moment

There is not room. The mosque is in the way of one of the walls of where the Jewish temple would be rebuilt. (based upon the design of when it was first built) There are still several things that have to fall in place before it can be started, but the colapse of the mosque would be a big one out of the way. I do a lot of studying in this dept. and found it interesting years ago that the greed of the muslims who ran the mosque were destroying it from inside out. they have dug elaborate excavations below the mosque into temple mount and in doing so they have cause it to become unstable.

Anyway, yea, its intriguing indeed.

Something I find even more, or perhaps on the same level of intrigue (just more immeadiate perhaps), is that ole' Pope isn't fairing too well in his health at the moment. Hmm, wonder why that might be...::cough::

And no, I'm not trying to pretend to know more than I do or to double guess God's timing, but does anyone else just feel it in their soul?

It's close.
