The Secret World?

Greetings all! I am an 'elder geek' gamer - way over the hill, and I've not played an MMO for a very long time. However the new game called "The Secret World" intrigues me and I intend to give it a go as a Templar!

It seems like a natural place for Christian Gamers, and I was wondering if any of you also intend to play?

I joined the ToJ years ago, because I was thrilled to find a Christian Gamer Guild, but I haven't played since that time. My name on that site is Proselyte. Glad to be back, and hopefully actually gaming again!

Oh yes. Oh yes. I am so absolutely definitely 110% going to be playing this game. AMAZING gameplay videos, written by Ragnar Tornquist, the writer of The Longest Journey, and dare I say, made by Funcom.

Yes Funcom. The company who bumbled 2 MMO launches, but came through in the end to make some of the greatest MMO's currently being played. I say it that way because playing an MMO is an investment of time, where in many other MMO's that we play, their quality dimishes in time, Funcom's only get better and better. They have proven they stand behind their products no matter what. I admire that they do NOT make cookie cutter WoW-clone MMO's.

Love the idea of playing in an alternate earth-style of world with the overworld being PvE and the underworld being PvP. 3 opposing factions battling head to head to head. YUM!

I do agree that Funcom made huge strides to make AO and AoC 2 very quality MMOS. I am interested in this one for sure.
 
So is there interest in a Tribe of Judah Secret World guild?
 
I would certainly be interested personally, but might wait to see if there is enough interest, and that we all agree to play on one of the three factions. ATM I am going with the Dragon faction. Some people choose which faction they like, or they can opt to take a test and see which faction best suits their playstyle.

FYI: This game is also going to be integrating external media and websites as part of the game.

I would not be able to lead a chapter effectively with my schedule and commitments. I would be happy to help with making a website for a ToJ TSW guild though.

Understandable. Leading a guild (or at least leading a large guild) can be demanding work. Believe me. I know. ^^;;
 
Would anyone recommend it? Saw that it was going B2P without all the restrictions like SWTOR has...
 
If TSW drops to $20 on steam for this sale week I will jump on it, being B2P makes it very attractive to have in my library.
 
After watching the issue update videos and reading up on the lore, factions, and deep combat... this sounds incredible. People complain about the combat animations, but the editors at Massively adore the game for actually trying something different. Come on, Steam sale!

Would roll Templar, thinking AR for the leech heals, or shotguns because why not. Also, Quantum Brace!
