Not. quite sure how they get that big. I do know that the diver was photoshoped in and the orginal diver in the picture was farther away from it...but the jelly fish...it really is that big.
 
That would be nasty, all those tentacles would cling to you and you would be pulled into the mass of them as it swam, being poisend more and more...
 
I always figured creatures that large would live much much deeper than that where the light does not penetrate the water as much as it does in that photo. You sure that's real?

Yes, it is from the cover of a National Geographic magazine. The only part thats fake is the diver. Someone photoshoped that in, I had the original pciture somewhere, but I can't find it now.

well, until i know where that thing lives im not going into the ocean for a while...
 
Well, you can get really far from shore in only six or seven feet of water, so maybe I'll stick with that. It's not like I know how to scuba dive or anything anyway.

Besides, I prefer to swim where I have waves to play in anyway.

Thats the plan...I'm going to build a huge underwater base from which to conquer the world from! And with these fearsom animals guarding it, no one can stop me!
