UPDATE: I've started my job with Mosaic Sales Solutions demonstrating Windows Media Center PCs but am still seeking a Monday through Friday (preferably 9 to 5) job to keep the cash flowing in. I've applied to the Best Buy Service Center for a PC Technician position, so please pray that I have favor with the managers there and, if it's the Lord's perfect job for me, that I get the position.

too bad I don't have any best buy connections anymore.  I worked at Best Bait-n-switch for about 3 years and was in good with a couple of the regional managers.  Until recently I still had a friend working at the Best Buy service center who could often pull strings.

Good luck with it.  I had a lot of fun working there -- i really miss the discount -- but alas, I had to move onto "better" things.  (better is intended to be tongue in cheek because I was laid off from the place I left Best Buy for, and now I'm FINALLY back up to the pay rate that I was at before I left Best Buy)
 
November 9, 2003 Update

- I've been doing the MCE demo thing at Best Buy for a few weeks now and, while the job gets a bit dull when I'm not talking with customers, the Best Buy staff has been great.
- My interview for the Best Buy PC technician job went okay but I haven't been invited to a second interview yet.
- I'll be calling the employment agencies I met with last month this coming Tuesday to get their rears in gear.
- Starting last month, my managers at Walgreens cut my hours drastically; I only work there one or two days during the week now.

So, in short, I am still looking for a second job, so don't stop praying yet! (Or ever!)

I've been hired by an IT company here in Tulsa and will be working Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM on help desk. I'll still be working at Best Buys doing computer demos on the weekend so I'll be working seven days a week for a little while. So, keep me up in prayer that I have the stamina and discipline to see it through and do my best!
 
And it only took you 3 months to get here. Isn't it amazing how God takes care of His people in the toughest of storms? Good luck my friend in Christ, for I know God has some awesome things planned for you.

*chuckle* Weeell, I wouldn't say it only took three months (I've applied to many, many computer businesses in the last eighteen months), but God is faithful and I still account myself very blessed. The last few years have taught me humility (the hard way) and that I must defer my plans to God instead of rushing headlong with my own.
