The Dark Knight

I personally am waiting to see a protayal of Bane that equals the Knightfall graphic novel.. Sadly all attempts in cartoons and film have come so far short they arent even worth mentioning.

The movie was brilliant. Very gripping from start to finish. Ledger's performance was legendary, and it made me sad that he's dead. I'd love to have seen him in a sequel.

As for future villains, I'd say the Ventriloquist would be great. I only barely remember him from the cartoons, but wasn't he kind of a creepy guy? After how well the Joker was received, maybe creepy is good...?

The Ventriloquist is just insane, having 2 minds with himself and a gangster puppet. Actually, its the Ventriloquist and Scarface.

Clayface and Mr. Freeze would be great future villains.

It's funny, because I've still got an old box from an old pack of umpteen hundred freeze pops that have the Mr. Freeze picture on it from the Batman movie from a couple years back.

Saw the movie last night... and it was good.. However i cant help but feel a little let down..

Ledger was good, maybe great.. certainly not oscar worthy.. There was definite borrowing from previous mentally unstable characters in films (I spent a few minutes trying to remember someone he directly quoted.... brad pitt in 12-monkeys)

The sad thing is, even though his performance was good, it was let down by a weak script and fragmented storyline (scarecrow/two-face didnt even merit an entry in the film).. With everything being dumbed down for a 12-rating and given that hollywood sparkle with plenty of over the top explosions.

Still, it was a good film... definitely entertaining and the best of the year so far in terms of high cinema takings. But i cant help think how good it could have been if they hadnt tried to make it family friendly, hollywood blockbuster material.. if they had taken a few risks and given ledger license to really expose the dark character of the joker. While he was sinister (and funny at the same time), i dont think he comes close to dennis hopper in blue velvet or anthony hopkins in silence of the lambs. He will still probably get the oscar though huh....

Im still looking forward to the next installment.. hoppefully they will do a good baddie ;)

so.... yeah...

I've already seen this movie twice, and i'm ready to go see it a third time with my family.

One of the biggest problems in which i have found with this movie is not the fault of the makers... it is the movie theaters.

This movie has a very dinamic sound track as well as important, quiet conversation.
I saw this movie in one theater that had a perfect amount of volume for talking and music... then i saw the movie in a lower quality theater... all i heard was loud music and quiet voices.
The movie was un-believable and amazing...
It is worth going to a higher quality theater to see it.

Yeah, and then there's some guys who feel the need to "whisper" announcements to their friends, unwittingly alerting the entire audience.

"Did you know that's Heath Ledger?"
"You mean like from The Patriot and Brokeback Mountain??"
"Oh man he was in Brokeback Mountain? Sheesh"
"Yea I know right"
