I am curious, since I don't own it, even though that sale has been like that more than twice, can all of you recommend that game for me? Hehehe... :D

Pros

- I like shooters
- I like killing
- I like modern weapons

Cons

- I dislike strict classes
- I dislike CTF modes

It's a free weekend so you should just download the demo and test it yourself but you will have to hurry as it only has Sunday left http://www.teamfortress.com/sniper_vs_spy/ .

Basically the emphasis in TF2 is on Team play. While there will be many, many times you can go in shooting everyone there are also times when someone needs to play another class to do something specific which may not be to your taste. The bottom line is there is more than likely a class you will like in TF2, as they are quite diverse, but you won't get to play 24/7 it if you want your team to win. As far as CTF there is a CTF mode but that's only one of 4 different modes (don't play on the 2fort map if you hate CTF XD ). Control point, Payload and Arena are the others. If deathmatch is a must thing it may be best to look elsewhere as TF2 is goal centered. Sure killing many enemies is good (and you will do it) but if you aren't going for or protecting your goal you will lose in this game no matter how many kills you make. Also of note most people either love or hate the comical style of TF2 so that will be a big part of if you find the game enjoyable.

TF2 is not really realistic at all. Almost every class is gimped at long range except for the sniper (that doesn't mean you can't tho). So if like not having to squint to shoot something then you might enjoy it. One of the nice things is that aside from the sniper you don't need to focus in on the head. You get the same damage for any part of the body you shoot.

- I dislike strict classes

The classes define what weapons you have, speed, health, etc. You can't really customize your character (with the exception of unlockables, sorta, but that isn't justifiable as customization IMO). Some of the classes are sorta set up as a rock-papper-scissors style weakness/strengths. So you there isn't always an IWIN button like other games.

- I dislike CTF modes

TF2 has many modes like cart pushing (you stay next to the cart to move it forward), point capture, intelligence stealing (which is basically ctf), and arena (which is basically tdm but it sucks).

Can't play team fortress 2 this month because my internet download cap
is nearly used up. Got about 800 megs left this month. Thanks for the invite though.

Ooh, sorry to hear that man. You may want to backup your TF2 data for future installs though. That way, you will only have to download like 400mb for another big patch instead of the 6-7gigs.

Bandwidth caps FTL. When will ISPs recognize that this is a horrible idea?
