Anyone know of a site with some ideas for structures? I am horrible at getting ideas for building these things. LOL

Was able to edit second post, but first post doesn't give me the option. Maybe it is because I posted it before my username changed...

Why do you prefer links or the use of attachments (I feel as though I should know this already...)?

I prefer text links or thumbnail links because not every user is on a 18Mbps connection. And large images break the forums skin. And it makes the netiquette cop in me twitch. And because I said so.

And I don't prefer forums attachments over hosting the image file elsewhere. I don't have a preference either way since there are advantages and disadvantages to either choice (upload as attachment or upload to external site and link in post).

Nope. There's a very short limit on how long users have to edit their posts. We instituted the limit after a user abused the Edit button to remove some inflammatory statements and the time limit has been 24 or 48 (I forget which, but evidence points to 24) hours ever since.
 
If I remember right I go to advanced, then upload the image as an attachment. It seems to work for me, it may not be right, but it gives me a thumbnail to click on. Click attachment, then in the window that opens browse for you picture then click on upload. Preview if want, then submit.

I thought people were posting images hosted on ImageShack or a similar service. I don't think Steam albums automatically generate thumbnail links yet, but I haven't used the feature enough to know for sure.
 
I did both...but mostly floating island stuffs. And that's my room, you'll notice there's no table and chair so the NPCs don't go there.
