Gotta go to my wife's family reunion. :( We're leaving out tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and will be back Sunday night.

I'm thrilled. -_-

On a positive note, I'll only be gone two days. And I bring a MP3 CD player (thanks mom and dad!) and FM transmitter (about $34 at The Evil Empi--err, Wal-Mart) with me on long trips. I have a few new albums to listen to, so the travel time should breeze by.

I also have my Gameboy Advance, a few GBA games, a book, my travel Bible, my notepad, a notebook, and, of course, my trust mechanical pencil. So I'm well-equipped. ^^

Nope. We don't own any pets. Our apartment complex charges a monthly "pet fee" for pet-owners (does that word have a hyphen in it?). Plus, my family owned several cats over the years and I was the one charged with cleaning the litterbox. Plus, Ember and I are both in college and wouldn't be able to give an animal the attention he or she deserves.

The cat in Ember's avatar was one she found on petfinder.com but has since been adopted (we hope; the original link for that particular kitty has expired).

Back. Safe. Not traumatized. :D

Actually, it was pretty decent. Fewer family members showed up than Ember expected, but, all in all, an okay weekend.

Going to wait to lock this thread until tomorrow. Don't really have a reason. Just don't feel like locking it yet.
