Trying to update the server now. Running into some trouble. Will open support ticket with GameServers.com if necessary.

Running into the following error:
Unable to find gameinfo.txt. Solutions:

1. Read http://www.valve-erc.com/srcsdk/faq.html#NoGameDir
2. Run vconfig to specify which game you're working on.
3. Add -game on the command line where is the directory that gameinfo.txt is in.

Created a new gameinfo.txt file from information posted here and uploaded the new file to the server.

Now having trouble restarting the server and getting it to start.

EDIT: I think GameServers.com just crashed. :(
 
Ah I went to sleep almost immediately after the update (and my posts). I had intended to update the server then but forgot to (got distracted by Engineer gun) . Thanks Tek I didn't even see this thread until you already fixed the issue. That's presidential quality efficiency for you :) .

Note: I did fix the server last time so I'm not useless really just slow XD !

Extra Note: Another update on the 11th reset the server for it. Also is it just me or did the update change the look of the motd screen? One of them said they added html gunk hmmm.

No worries! I just wanted to get the server updated so I could try out the new update with other ToJ members. It took a while to get 4-6 on the server, but we ended up with a full server and much fun was had.
 
Can we ban Tek yet for quint posting?

And in his own topic, too. Definitely an attempt to boost his post count.
 
I'm going to talk to the CGA president about this for sure and see if he will reprimand Tek's actions.

It was quadruple posting, by the way.

And there was a reason for it: I was giving up-to-the-minute updates on the state of the server on the off chance that someone was watching the forums trying to figure out what was happening with our TF2 server.

Now that the server has been updated, I can merge the posts. But my post count is already so high that I didn't think anyone would be that upset. :D
 
Picking TF2 up from steam tonight for $10 :) hehe GREAT DEAL!!!! Can't wait to join in on the fun...by the way when is the TF2 night or time???

TF2sdays (our weekly game nights) are Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. Central, but we sometimes jump on the server for an impromptu game.
