How much are the flying mounts going to cost? Also, are we expecting to get
an increase in the average gold a player has? Meaning, are we looking at a
gold increase per quest and how much items sell for?

Flying mounts will cost 1000g for the "regular" flying mount that moves at normal run speed, and 5000g for the "epic" flying mount that moves at 160% run speed. There's a definite increase in gold, particularly from quests (I've had quests reward me with 17g so far) and vendor trash.

I was just wondering if you could tell me what the mounts are for the new
races... IDK if u awswered it yet, but if you didn't i would like to
know...tyvm

Draenei ride the Elekk, which is an elephant-ish beast. Blood Elves ride Hawkstriders, which are... well, think Chocobos from Final Fantasy, but all rainbow-colored.

I want to know do we still need high reputation to put on the AV/WSG/AB
items witch just costs honor now.

"Requires Defilers: Hated."

Nope. Buy it and it's yours.

Hey Was just wondering how the gold earning is going to scale in BC because
atm i am having trouble farming for my epic mount for 700g and if the flying
mounts are going to be 5k gold then i am stuffed. (how much cash drops per
mob, say for a lvl 62 mob)

Cash per mob isn't too much more than in live currently. However, the gray vendor trash like scales / fangs does tend to sell for quite a bit, and quests reward you with coinage often upwards of 10g.

What are the new Blood Elf racial stats and/or abilities? I've heard
speculation about a mana-leeching-type ability, which certainly would make
sense in respect to BE lore, but I've had no luck finding any concrete
answers in this regard. (I recently started up on a new server to escape the
dregs of the eternal honor grind on my old PvP server - and I'm curious as
to whether or not I should wait to reroll my Horde mage until Blood Elves
are available.) So... What's the real deal? =D

Blood Elves have the normal pointless racials, but their Active racial... well, there are two stages. The first is called Mana Tap, and you can siphon mana from your target--this stacks on you up to 3 times. Then, you use Arcane Torrent to release the Mana, granting you extra Mana/Energy depending on the number of charges. It also is a brief AoE silence.

A few questions related to leveling up Tailoring: Where do soul essence
come from? Where do shadow cloth come from? Given the number of arcane dust
thats needed for the Imbued Netherweave, arcane crystals must be even more
sought after. Are Rich Thorium veins more frequent? Mawz

Soul Essence and Shadow Cloth aren't in the game right now, they'll probably be in the level 70 areas. Arcane Dust is actually the next level of Dream/Illusion Dust from disenchanting greens, so there's plenty of that to go around.

Can you plz elaborate on what these two engineering items do? 1) Zapthrottle
Mote Extractor, 2) Ultra-Spectropic Detection Goggles. Help you gather
something i guess? Is this a uniq source or how obtain these materials?
Maybe you could compare the gathered item to something in the old world.
Thx in advance - Mawz

Can't quite explain what those engineering items do, but I CAN explain Motes. Primal (Whatever) is basically the new Essence in terms of crafting. You've got Primal Mana, Primal Life, Primal Shadow, Primal Fire/Water/Earth/Air, and probably some more. However, to make it less of a random "OMG YES Essence just dropped!", Primals are made up of 10 Motes of (Whatever), and these Motes have a much higher percentage of dropping. So instead of farming elementals in Silithus for two hours searching for very rare Essence of Air, you farm for less-rare Motes of Air that you then turn into Primals.

I have read several posts stating that 1 vs 1 pvp at lvl 60 yields roughly
20 honor points in the new system. Do you get any honor points from winning
a WSG, AB, AV match as you do in the currect system? Do you get any honor
points from killing key NPCs in AV as you do in the currect system? Would
you say that honor points or rep tokens are the more limiting factor in
purchasing equipment? In the currecnt system after you acheive a rank you
still have to spend some gold on the pvp gear. Is there still some gold
cost to pvp purchased items?

Haven't really seen battlegrounds running on test server, to tell the truth. However, it would stand to reason that you get some honor for wins. I'd definitely call the honor tokens the limiting factor, but like I said, I've not had much experience with the current state. Combat Potions cost several silver in addition to 1 Honor a piece, but the vast majority simply require Honor Points.

I've seen "spellthread" on various sites, it seems like it's something that
only tailorers can do? Will they stack with enchants? Very little info out
there about this atm :(

Tailors, depending on their faction with either the Aldor or the Scryers, can learn how to embroider +healing or +damage spellthread into a Helm or Leg piece of armor. This does not stack with enchantments, though it functions like one--a tailor can embroider anyone's equipment, not just his own.

It was rumored that in TBC, Druid and Priest HoTs would be stackable
(currently only one HoT of same type can be active on a single target). So
my question is, can like 5 Druids cast say Rejuvenation on a single target
and have it show up as 5 stacked on the target? Regrowth? Renew? I'm
curious if Blizz actually implemented this since they added Lifebloom which
specifically stacks up to 3 times for Druids. They haven't made any mention
of HoTs stacking since the new trees were announced.

I ran a dungeon with two Priests the other day, and definitely had two Renews active on me at once. They don't stack in the single icon--each of them takes up a seperate buff slot--but they were both healing me simultaneously.

Keep your questions coming!

What is a Man?! A Miserable Pile of Questions?!

I think I'm just going to give up numbering these.

I haven't heard/read anything about the bank in the expansion. Are there
more slots, bag slots, price for bag slots? Speaking of bags are there more
18+ slot bags that you've found? Almost everyone I know is already filled
to the brim!

There's one more bank bag slot, and the cost for purchasing new slots caps out at 25, which is a welcome change. Tailors can buy the recipe for "Imbued Netherweave Bags" from a trainer in Shattrath, which are craftable 18-slot bags. Still, I'm finding my bags full a lot of the time, which isn't nice.

What are the new factions in BC, and are there any new faction reewards for
current factions? (Timbermaw, CC, AD, Wildhammer clan) Thanks! Mortavex

I haven't seen any new rewards for the old factions, though I do admit that I've not really looked. As far as new factions go, you have the two main faction towns in Outland: Thrallmar and Honor Hold... you have the Cenarion Expedition, the little tribe of mushroom-people known as Sporeggar. The Horde has reputation with the brown Orc tribe of the Mag'Har, and I'm assuming there's a similar Draenei faction for the Alliance. In Shattrath City, you have the main Sha'Dar faction of the Naaru, and then there are the opposing factions of the Draenei Aldor and the Blood Elf Scryers (Alliance start Friendly with the Aldor by default, Horde start Friendly with the Scryers, though you can change this by doing quests). There's also a group of Ethereals known as the Consortium, but I'm not entirely sure what they do yet.

I have a question about the pvp changes. What happens to our current rank and do we get any bonus honor/tokens for any ranks we have? Any other information would be great such as what exactly are the changes? I am wondering if it makes sense to continue pvp ranks or if I will lose all that work with the expansion.

Sorry to say that your current rank now is only a title that you can switch off. As a Blood Guard, I didn't get any extra tokens. It seems that come release, everything starts back at square one. That's not to say that it's pointless, though. If you're already close to getting the gear, you may want to just push a bit farther... because you'll be able to get all the gear at once, whereas in TBC you go for one piece of equipment at a time.

Can you please clarify how the battleground rewards have been "rolled-into"
the honor system in BC? Can you just give us some hard examples? What
exactly do you now have to do to get "Rune of Perfection", "Defiler's
Talisman", "Lorekeeper's Staff", "Scout's Blade", "Lobotomizer", etc. Then
can you compare that to what you have to do to get "Insignia of the Horde"?
I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'm gonna have to do on my new
characters.

The Faction PvP Rewards now require Marks of Honor for that battleground as well as the general Honor Currency gained from kills. For example, while the Insignia of the Horde costs XXX Honor, the Lobotomizer costs XXXX Honor and XX AV Marks of Honor. Marks of Honor obviously are no longer Unique (20).

Will the Rank 13 Field Marshal/Warlord sets be purchaseable like the new
level 70 honor items, or will they be removed from the game completely once
TBC is released?

As far as I can tell, they're still there.

ok im very confused now cause i heard a rumor that the new races wont b able
to go outside of outland is this true?

No. Very not true. While the Exodar and Silvermoon are on the same "server" as Outland (like Kalimdor or the Eastern Kingdoms are on their own server)... Draenei and Blood Elves can very much leave and go to the rest of Azeroth. Since their starting areas only take them to level 20-ish, they pretty much have to. Horde NEVER escapes the Barrens, didn't you get the memo?

I hear you can BETA BC. Is this true?

It IS true. Imagine that.

I recall having seen a screenshot from BC that you need L50 to train from
300-375 in a tradeskill. I also read in a Q&A here that you need to be L55
to enter the dark portal. Do all trainers exist in the old land - including
the new crafts? If so it would mean L50 to get to L375 in a tradeskill. If
they are only placed in the new continent it would mean L55 is needed for
obtaining L375 in a trade skill. Which is it? Mazw PS thx for a great
side

There are no Grand Master trainers outside of Outland. Since you need to be 55 to cross the Dark Portal, this effectively means that you must be 55... unless it's possible to go through by some other means, such as a Mage Portal or Warlock Summon. I'll test this and get back to you.

Keep the questions coming!

if you have pvp stuff from befor and you need marshal to waer and all the ranks go away will you still be able to waer this armor

Yes, you can wear any armor you have already purchased. You just can't buy anything that requires that rank.

How are the BC Beta invites going to work? And have they been released yet?

Beta invites have been slowly going out. A few each week to random players with an active account, so keep an eye on your email. You might just end up with an invite. If you do get invited, let us know! We'd love to play with you!

Hello, I would like to know what herbs and ore you guys have found so far in BC. As I am a connoisseur of [Black lotus] In WoW and I am very interested in the herbs in BC, could we get a list started?

Being an herbalist myself, I am following the Herbalism and Alchemy quite closely. So far I have found: Felweed, Dreaming Glory, and Ragveil which is used in potions up to at least level 325 alchemy. Stay tuned because once I will becoming out with a detailed guide for herbalism and alchemy in Burning Crusade.

I have only seen one type of mining node so far and that is Fel Iron. I'm sure there are more though.

How big would you say Hellfire Peninsula is compared to, say, the Barrens? Larger? Smaller? Similar size?

I would compare the size of Hellfire Peninsula to that of The Barrens. It is a rather large zone and you can definitely feel that running across it.

I was wondering if the Burning Crusade features some excellent orchestra music like in the original game?

Yes, definitely. There is a new song on the login screen and new music throughout The Outlands. If you happen to pick up a copy of the Collectors Edition, you can get a copy of the new Soundtrack.

I'm intersted in info about when you think the different End-Game instance sets will be replaced, at what level, I'm a mage and thus I'd like to know when you'd think Arcanist, Netherwind, Frostfire and so on will be replaced with other items in BC

At this time, I'm thinking that the majority of Tier 1 and Tier 2 sets will start to be replaced around level 64-65. The blue gear you get at the beginning is about on par and it's not until later on when you start to get gear that actually beats out your set bonuses.

At what level are you able to advance you tradeskills to their new skill cap and what is that cap? Thanks in advance. -Prain

All of the master trainers for tradeskills are in the Outlands. Now I was able to train mine up at level 60 (first thing I did when I got to The Outlands, however you might be able to do this at level 55 when you first enter the Outlands. I am not 100% sure on this, but you can definitely do it at 60. The current tradeskill cap is level 375 for all skills.

A short, and hopefully quick, one. At what player level can one train past 300 of any trade skill. ie you must be 35 to get to 300. Thus, XX to get to 375? Cheers :D

As stated above, you can definitely do it at level 60, you might be able to at level 55 when you can first enter The Outlands, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

so are all the instances done with all the monster and bosses? if not what can you guys do right now?

No, the instances aren't done yet and even the ones that are in the game have some work to be done still (bugged mobs, missing minimaps, etc). Instances I know to be in game are Hellfire Ramparts, Hellfire Blood Furnace, Slave Pens, Underbog, and a few others.

I hit 65 last night but have completed most of the 66 and 67 elite quests with Anita. I have yet to replace my armour (mostly t2 and t2+) or my gun/weapon. At this point, only rings and necklace are good enough to switch out. On the various professions:

Jewelcrafting - currently 155 (need to get to a master jewelcrafter in the outlands now)

Herbalism - 375 (topped out) and have collected Felweed, Dreaming Glory, and Ragveil. Ones he missed is Terocone and Fel locus which I have picked. There is also an herb called Netherbloom which is a high level but I do not believe it is yet available to be picked. One other quick comment on herbalism, the Dreaming Glory herb also gives the picker a 15 minute hp regen buff of 20 hp every x seconds.

Skinning - 335 - I got bored of skinning so I haven't continued yet

Alchemistry - 345 - due to the lack of recipes and high level herbs, this has been a real chore to level.

Mining - still 300 but I can confirm the existence of Adamantite as I have seen many deposits, expect this to be the next "thorium" for various professions

I had one other comment overall about the motes versus primals. Getting primal anything to drop is rare, it is often the motes you find on mobs that will get you primals. After collecting 10 motes, right click and it converts to a primal. Anita and I did a bit of farming for a mote of air as she has a SWEEETT back enchant of +12 Agi which requires one primal air. It did not take us long to farm enough motes.

On the questing side of things, we have with the two 64s, we are able to do all the way up to 67+ (elite) quests as we were able to complete the 3 67+ quests with just the two of us. Sadly we met our match last night on the last 67+ (elite) quest which found us dead twice before giving up. However this 67+ and the other 68+ we have both contain blue quest rewards that blow the doors off our weapons and necklaces todate. Stay tuned :)

Jewelcrafting - currently 155 (need to get to a master jewelcrafter in the outlands now)

You can get to 300 in the Exodar. I'm around 284 I think. Ran out of large opals and thorium (after prospecting all my thorium away looking for opals).

Is prospecting a seperate ability that needs to be leveled in addition to jewelcrafting?

Does your jewelcrafting level determine what ores you are able to prospect?

Does prosepecting increase you jewelcrafting lvl?

I am thinking about dropping my herbalism and picking up jewelcrafting (in case you couldn't tell :) ). I already have many of the lower lvl mats needed to lvl up this prof to ~150 Do you think this is a good idea? or do you see more of a need/market for flower-pickers?

No.

I have read that this is the case, but I haven't seen any text in-game to indicate this. So I'm not sure right now. I haven't bumped against this when I prospect yet.

I think there is always going to be a strong demand for herbs. If anything, potions are becoming *more* attractive in the xpac. I would equate jewelcrafting to enchanting. It's expensive to level, difficult to get the good recipes, but people will keep coming back for more. At 70, like with all professions, there are going to be few items you can make that are actually better than instance drops. The real money will be in cutting gems for sockets. I suspect that getting the rare cutting recipes will be...difficult.
