I was roller blading today, and my blades (new), didnt fit quite right, and i was going around courner and right blade slipped out from under neath me. I recovered, but starting to fall backwards. I spun left to try to do a pushup but didnt make it, landed all weight on left arm at about a 45 degree angle, and heard a snap.

After having mom drive to er, took 6 hrs to get out, i'm in a soft cast now, going in for cast tomorrow. Didnt hurt to much yet, i've got vicadin for pain, which i will be avoiding as much as possible.

No fps games for m, let alone stating college tomorrow, i'll be pushing back till fall.

It is broken, and its not clean, have to see tomorrow. Right at upper bone near elbow.

man that really blows, now who am I going to get pwned by in cs???

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Aw man, that's terrible. You get to start school with a cast on your arm. Do you think you will still be able to play Guild Wars? I don't know what I'll do without De Talon and Beanz in my group. *sobs uncontrollably*

I've never broken a bone so I don't really know what you're dealing with. Note to self: Pray for Talon's arm to heal quickly and for it to be stronger than ever.

I'll find a way to play cs, with mouse binds to walk foward and jump. And yes, i'll be on GW, 1 handed game, so its not bad, not sure about today, gotta make an appoitment this morning.

College, grrr, i'm moving to fall 06, no way can i work on computers with 1 hand. Besides i'll end up prolly missing first week of class, since it starts today. I'm not sure how bad its broken, all I know is i was border line ER and clinic, after 4 hrs of wiating, they sent my xrays to express clinic (clinic = good) and took me in about half an hour later.

Thanks everyone. And i'm getting my money back on those faulty blades and prolly buy factions.

No i'm not gonna sue anyone, it was my fault for blading a second time around block yesterday (i bladed day b4 but wasnt easy)

Yeah, like Astrod00d, I haven't broken a bone either - kind of hard to when you've got "the biggest bones ever seen." *laf* That's what my doc said. :P I sincerely hope you get better soon, Talon. And it's awful you have to miss one quarter of college. So you can't take it with only one arm? Is it on your most used arm, or the other? I'm prayin' for you.

*Starfire*

ah geezeman thats gotta suck, i tried hanging out online with avenger a bit last night cuz he was pretty worried but yeah.pray thhe healing goes well.

its me left thats busted, i'm right handed.

Working on computers and taking apart is not a 1 handed job, it wont be do able, so i'm postponing 2 quarters.

Soon as i hit ground, my bro was on bike, he heard me fall and turned around, i looked at him, said "i just busted my elbow"

edit* i'm optomistic by nature, at least it wasnt wrist too, it woulda been if i wasnt weariing pads/wrist guards

It didnt hurt as much as i thought it would, but not being able to move fingers was a sign. I was 50% sure it was disslocated, me wrong.

I can play cs, me love my 10 button mx-610 wireless logitec mousy. All bound to walk, jump, croutch, sec, prim, weapons switch (scroll), talk on mic.

dag, yo. i broke my right arm in 9th grade on a church youth weekend doing sumo wrestling suits... bad idea for those that weigh barely over 100 pounds....

That stinks you broke your arm, but it's wonderful that you can still play CS (probably not as well though). Either way, get better soon... or else!

Just got back from othopeadics doctor. I broke the outside radial bone near the joint head clean off. The bone stayed in place, there was no shattering or splitters. I'm in the soft cast split for 2 weeks, going back april 6 for checkup/xray through cast. After about 3 weeks, i'll be given a new cast that allows some movement so my elbow joint doesnt lock up. Total revovery time + physical threapy is 7-8 weeks.

Thank goodness it was clean and didnt need resetting but... there is a possibilty bone will move out of place, and that would require surgery and metal plate + 4-6 weeks more recovery time.

Doc said I did a real number on it for just roller blading, and while its not bad now it could turn very seroius. but i'm optomistic and its in Gods hands, everything happens for a reason.

Does it help to think of it as overachieving?

Seriously, I'll be praying that it heals quickly, cleanly, and strongly. Surgery would sure suck. Glad to hear you've got family around to help you out.
