I'm super stressed with life and work right now. Would love a quick prayer.

Joe, these are hard and trying times for many of us. The past two weeks have been really rough for me, too. Yet, thanks for posting so even I can help lift your need to the Lord. Sometimes I have to remember that God hears even my prayers though I am truly undeserving of it. Only by the Blood of Christ is a relationship possible with my Creator. He cares for us and the details of our life to the point of planning for us the good work we can do!

Some years ago I went through a horrendous time of life - so depressed it was all I could do to survive the day - bankruptcy, repossession of our only vehicle, and then topped off by almost getting killed in a terrible accident from which I have never recovered. During this time I did find out one thing: God never leaves you alone. I have found His trustworthiness to be more certain than the rising sun: the coming of morning, noon, and night. Though many have failed me in one way or another - including myself - He has never left me alone nor gone back on His Word. It has been close a few times, but I have never gone hungry, naked or without a roof to sleep under: I am blessed! When I felt abandoned by those around me, He came through in His awesome, personal manner in which He conducts Himself. This is an integral part of His righteousness.

Many times I now go to sleep quoting the 23rd Psalm and contemplating its meaning and application in my life. God has truly blessed me and I know He has something wonderful planned for you! But you know what? It is not because of my personal experience that I have shared with you; it is because His Word says so.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest for your souls. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you WILL find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

How encouraging He is! Dwell in His peace, especially if your surroundings feel like they are closing in on you.
