With cyber Monday coming I can finally put the finishing touches on my son‘s PC without killing my means to pay my bills lol.
Then I'll sign him up to TOJ/CGA/LOE.

He just turned 14 and seems very excited to
Play with his dad.

(Mines better but I wont tell him that lol)

My plan is to purchase his parts (operating system and RAM),
and get it setup and ready for Christmas morning.
If I can squeeze it in the budget ill try and have GW2 bought and installed for him so he can
start playing Christmas morning.

He has no clue I am doing this and has been
hinting about it since I started playing after release.

Now if I could just get my wife to play I would
be happy lol
 
Bought his key for $29.99 this morning
Applied him to TOJ,and applied him to Loe as well.
Thanks to great cyber monday deals I was able to order all his parts plus gw2.
I'm really excited to play with him and show him the ropes.

So excited for his parts to come in.
just bought him a desk for $20 and a nice gaming monitor for $99 (19" flat screen)
just need to get him a chair and a headset

i have 5 steps left to finish his PC
1 - install RAM (waiting for shipping still)
2 - install windows 8.1 64-bit (waiting for shipping still)

rest of the parts i have already
3 - install wireless adapter
4 - install video card
5 - install GW2 game client

i am making sure i have a few empty char slots so i can hang with him and help him lv up.
i have my 4 favorite 80's but the other 4 slots are low lv junk toons that are expendable lol
 
There is no such thing as a junk toon. My whole clan shudders at such a crass and unfeeling statement. Please don't make my clan think of mutiny, I have enough trouble controlling them as it is.
 
Ursen - slightly off topic, but I JUST STARTED PLAYING A RANGER AND THEY'RE AMAZING! I seriously had no clue, it's the last profession I need to level up. Just wow - so much fun!
 
lol. Yes they are. Very good as a general purpose class. Tough enough to last, hit just hard enough to keep things interesting. And axe/torch can take you all the way to 80. Standing in the middle of Bonfire/Flame Trap/Spike trap let's ya work over bad nasties real well in a defense position.
 
Update;
Finally got it put together and I'm installing his game client.
Thanks to a Microsoft tech for issuing me another product key after the one it came with was invalid.

Cant wait to tell the wife I got it resolved and cant wait to play GW2 with my son on Christmas!!!!!
 
Game client installed and runs great on medium settings.
13 days then I won't have to hide stuff anymore lol
