Ok so here's this article and image gallery about the PSP from a site that got one of the final retail units after winning it in an auction to help earthquake victims. Looking over the pictures it sure is shiny, and like most other Sony products smooth as butter to use. However no matter how neat it looks, for whatever reason it seems like this just isn't going to be a good system to try and lug around on the road.
It's generally smaller then the DS, except for being longer side to side. While I haven't gotten to hold a DS yet it just looks like it's so much better to carry around. Also the discs, while not as bad as full sized discs would be, look fairly sizeable compared to the tiny GBA and DS media. Maybe I've just been inundated with Nintendo portables for too long, but for whatever reason the PSP really seems like a system that regardless of how good it is will be a system that people play far more at home then on the road (not even taking into account the reports of horrendous battery life of as little as 3 hours). Does anyone else share my sentiments?
