Sony PSP

Ok so here's this article and image gallery about the PSP from a site that got one of the final retail units after winning it in an auction to help earthquake victims. Looking over the pictures it sure is shiny, and like most other Sony products smooth as butter to use. However no matter how neat it looks, for whatever reason it seems like this just isn't going to be a good system to try and lug around on the road.

It's generally smaller then the DS, except for being longer side to side. While I haven't gotten to hold a DS yet it just looks like it's so much better to carry around. Also the discs, while not as bad as full sized discs would be, look fairly sizeable compared to the tiny GBA and DS media. Maybe I've just been inundated with Nintendo portables for too long, but for whatever reason the PSP really seems like a system that regardless of how good it is will be a system that people play far more at home then on the road (not even taking into account the reports of horrendous battery life of as little as 3 hours). Does anyone else share my sentiments?

I assume HD is hard disk, in which case it should be abbrieviated HDD so we don't confuse it for being High Definition or Highly Dopey

, but not quite sure where the possibility of that lies without making it huge, or even more outrageously priced then it already is.

I have a DS. I think the PSP is carp. I even have hardcore sony fanboy friends who think its stupid and a waste of money.

Hmm... well, I really wanted one before, but after that post I'm a changed man. FIR3 is right, PSP is carp. Now that I think about it, better graphics, games, and support for movies and music don't matter. I wanna be a Nintendo fanboy now! OK, sorry for that, I couldn't help myself. But back on topic, yeah by HD I meant Hard Drive, I really think it could work, with the USB support and all, if they just make one using a laptop HD reader then I'd be a very happy boy. My friend knows a guy who's getting one imported from japan, and I might just get to touch it in the upcoming weeks, I'm excited.
