Some Things Need To Change Around Here.

Because I think some people don’t understand me very well, I’ve made a list. This should make things perfectly clear.

I’ll be adding things to this as time goes along.

--First of all, I really hope the moderators give me no grief when I PM them asking for my post count to be changed. I had over 20,000 posts at my other forum, and would like to see my posts here altered accordingly.

--We need our own @Forumz "catch-up" forum, for when my friends arrive. If there's no room, we could delete the "2004 Daily Devotional Forum" forum and replace it, since it seems like nobody uses it.

--You guys don't seem very tight-knit, so I'd like to start a series of "getting to love you" games, one a night every night. These are things like "who do you have a crush on?" and "who do you hate?"

Boy, I could really get going on that last one! But it would be rude to let all that out so early, so we'll save it for a few weeks.

This is probably the funniest thing I've ever read.

a) Who CARES how many posts you had on the previous forum? As of the time I'm writing this post, you have 8 on here.  

b) Why should we supply such a thing for you? If you want that, you can generate a Yahoo! group, or better yet, pay the 5-30 dollars a month and host your own web space.  CGA is in no way required to host forums for you and your friends, just because you think it will be a good idea.  The member organizations of CGA are all checked out, and have careful guidelines that must be met before they can be a part of the CGA umbrella.  @Forums met-up is in no way a part of those.  As for your suggestion to destroy the X-Box live forum, why?  The Mods want that there.  That should be good enough for you.


c)  as for how tight-knit of a group we are, you've been here a week, how would you know how tight-knit we are?  Then as for your suggestions, to me those would just cause disruptions and murmurings.  I love everyone on this forum equally.  I hold 99% of the people who post on these forums in great regards and respect (even when I can't agree with what they post).    

But above all this, the one person I give my heart to is my wife, who's never even visited these forums.  So why would I carry on in a 'Who do you love?' game.  I already know.

Please remember that these are Christian forums, you're suggestion for a "who do you hate" thread has no place here, for that is not the type of message we're in the habit of putting out.  And you can frankly keep it in, I for one, don't care, nor do I want to know, who you hate.  It has no bearing on my opinion of the person in question, and is just pure gossip mongering.
 
It's becoming ever more clear to me that you're nothing more than a trouble maker, sir.

I strongly suggest you stop being one. Now.
 
These posters need an attitude adjustment, bad. They may just have been around here too long, and i suppose that could twist anybody, but here they are:

Wordy, look man, I've been nothing but nice and respectful to you since you came here, but I will not stand idly by while someone who is clearly here only to confuse and frustrate does just that.

I will indeed stand here and tell you that you're acting a fool if you act a fool, ask anyone on this board. I'm respectful about it, though.

WEEEEEEE DONT CARE ABOUT @FORUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they would tolerate idiots telling them that they are not good enough for them then that is them and they may do what they please although I disagree. BUT I SAY AGAIN THIS IS NOT @FORUMS. The admins have their own standards I cant say for fact which one of us they would deem in the wrong (if either) however I have a pretty good idea. No maybe you havent attacked any of us personally but you have attacked CGA.

Hello, Vanaze69, and thank you for your message and compliment, although I disagree with your point of view most emphatically. You see, I am not trying to "cause confusion" as, if my memory serves, you put it. I am trying to make the forums a better place. Secondly, it is not you (or anyone else on this board) that is being frustrated, it is I. It seems as though the entire board has mobbed against me for trying to help them.

And lastly, I would like to ask you what you mean when you say "try it." I have looked over the post numerous times, and I can not for the life of me, find any suggestions that you have made for me to try. I know this, because if there had been a suggestion I would have been more than happy to "try it."
 
I'm not even going to bother to explain why you should leave immeadiately. Instead, I'm going to tell you. Leave immeadiately.

I think the reasons are clear enough to anyone reading.

Trying to help us!!! Coming in here telling us how bad are forum is making comments like "I dont know how you guys put up with this place" is trying to help us?! No I dont think so. I believe he meant try being respectfull.

Was my post insulting to you? It was not meant to be. I wrote it as respectfully as possible.

You see, I thought that we had become friends, and that you'd welcome the opportunity to admit, in this case, that you'd made a mistake. Acknowledging when one has committed an error is no disgrace; quite the contrary, conceding that one has been wrong is a manly trait.

When some trouble maker comes to a church service to do nothing but snort and sneer, loudly, at everything the pastor says.

He's here to create havoc, or to try to, but I forsee that he will fail miserably.
 
I agree Vanaze. I actually have experienced people that go to chruch services and snort and sneer. He will indeed fail. Infact I have had a good laugh out of this. Close the TOJ Xboxlive or the Daily devotional forums so he can have his own space I mean am I supposed to take this guy for real?!
 
post-count this is a fresh start, the only way we alter post counts is if you change forum names, would you like us to inlcude the stinkrat count to yours?
his would have to be approved by an admin.

regarding the @forums thread let's meet your friends, you can always start a topic in the general section, if you guys are nice and respectful I'm sure they'll consider it.
 
First of all, what have I done that was offending to you? Second, guys, chill. I read your posts and many of you have been very harsh. He just had some ideas, although farfetched, there is no reason to say

Wordyjames, your not at @forumz. You didn't post 2,000 posts here. I"m sorry you got kicked from your old site, but we aren't going to make you a new @forumz site, make everything like it was, and pretend you never got kicked out. Theres a lot of very knowledgeable people here who like to have very intelligent conversations. I'm sure you can win a few poetry fans too. Just don't poop on our site.
 
Ok.. i see a lot of things going on here.. im not gonna comment on them, but needless to say, James your requests arent gonan happen anytime soon. Not so much because they totally out there but in the manner you have presented yourself in forums since your first post. Doesnt show me a person who wants to help out our community... more a person that wants to take over and mould it into what he used to have. You are welcome to post in these forums with any suggestions you have for improvement of CGA etc.. but it is the Council that make the decisions around here..

Anyway... This conversation is /over/
 
I understand that Rizz declared this thread locked, but I would like to add to this thread since I do have somewhat of a role here.

WordyJames, like the others have said, you do need help. We are NOT shutting down the Xbox Live forum. Although it is (in your eyes) "seldom used," it still is active because the Xbox Chapter is actually a kicking group. Plus, as being the Chapter co-leader, I have been devoting my time to stuff other than the chapter, thus we have not been using it as much.

Next, it is not your role to tell us what to do, and we will not shut down other forums in order to create a "catch-up" forum.

James, go pick up a Bible, flip it open to some random page, and start reading. Why not spend your time doing something other than using someone elses time trying to get back time that you have "lost" making 2,000 + posts on another forum?? Besides....when the featured topic for those forums is on sexuality that is against our commandments, how can you morally do this to us?
