SoE Website

I've been thinking of making a new site for Spirit of Elijah. The current site is a year old and is out of date in a few areas. Since we have grown to a pretty sizeable guild and since the release of Factions will probably have us grow even more, I think we're due for a new site. We'll also be visited by other Christian guilds that we ally with. I remember a request for a new site posted a while back and I might be able to find the time to do it if you still want.

I developed the websites for the Battlefield Chapter and the Warhammer Universe Chapter.

I'd like to make a site similar to another site I'm developing using Joomla. I could put the GW chapter forum in a wrapper so that it looks like it's part of the site. It could also have some other functions if we decide to use them. Check out the site I'm developing to get an idea. ----> The DMZ

What would you guys like to see on our site if I get the go ahead?

My immediate thought is that I'd like to see the most relevant and helpful posts from the forums archived there. You could have seperate sections for the various types of guildwars play, with relevant linked articles in each. That way, if someone only does, say, PvE, then they could click a link and see stuff specifically related to that type of play (such as PvE player/farming team builds, articles on farming, suggestions for how to get guildies to help with missions and quests, etc.) I suppose you could have profiles on the officers as well, detailing what their roles and responsibilities are.

Hey man, whether you get the go-ahead or not I really appreciate your willingness to put all that work and effort into revamping our website.

Something I thought would be cool would be a section that has each member listed with a link to a profile with info and a photo of each of our characters.

Could do some type of trade page. Where people could post what they have and what they're looking for.

I like the other ideas so far as well.

Go for it TJ. I did make a request a while back, but that was never followed up with action, so I'd certainly appreciate it.

In fact, I even tried to create my own homepage for SoE, but it didn't turn out so well:

astrodood, cool beans, but please make sure to contact Plankeye or SirThom about some of your plans, and the proper ways to interface with the ToJ website.

I've got that part down. I just needed the go ahead and now I'll consult Tek/Tom/Plank on the technical side.

Oh, and Bill, that's hilarious! Maybe that can be our intro page...lol.
