.Smoke Nades are not my friends

I am glad they are making smoke nades better than 1.6, because it will make the game more realistic. Now most of the people only throw them because they make you lag and in real life smoke nades don't take you down to less than 4 fps
 
there is some tweak you can use to make the smoke look different and cause less lag.. ask goose

well, grenades, in general, are not your friends.

in fact, I'm having trouble thinking of any weapon that would be your friend, when it's used to your disadvantage...

except for a heal-o ray...

but yes the instant "puff" of smoke in 1.6 will make the nades actualyl useful when rushing an area. Instead of just using them to annoy awpers.

Here are the specs on my comp
AMD Duron 1.3 ghz
256 DDR ram
MUSE soundcard
TNT2
15 Gig Hard drive (And soon I might have another 15 )
And a cable modem that delivers me the worst ping available- somewhere 100-150-200
on a side note i turned down the smoke quality to meduim cuz I cant stand the worst.

My comp is pretty decent except for the videocard- a TNT2.  
*wonders if the integrated card would be better*

Heres my comp (lets see who wins)

Intel Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz
512 DDR RAM
SiS onboard sound card (its very clean.. i was amazed at the quality of onbaord sound card)
SiS onboard LAN (attached to Road Runner.. it kicks butt)
80Gb Hard disk (Seagate barracuda.. u can't hear it dtt'ing when u talk.. thats how quiet it is)

The problem with your ping is because the region the ToJ server and region where u r playin from is different. It is i think in east coast.. cuz im in West coast and my ping goes over 90 or 100.. in west server, my pings 30ish

My computer is decentest :P
the smoke should be always medium.. if your video card and comp can't stand it, get it to worst.. but if u do it to medium, its all white so its easy to see whos there unless ur enemy is an artic avenger(terrorist 3rd).

and Moody, you just might be better off w/ onboard depending on what it is

I have the money in my hand.. soon to be ordered is my new 1337 PC. I gave up on building it cos im lazy and the new alienware cases are just so0o0o0o0o cool.

and the MCP-T (media Communications Processor - Turbo) southbridge's onboard sound has been rated, (in a general consensus) to be of a quality better than a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, and falling short of the SoundBlaster Audigy2 (but with better driver support).  O_o

not bad for a $100 motherboard.  some of youse videocards cost more than that.

n e ways.. its exciting to see a fellow bro havin a similar comp and a similar knowledge.. (unlike rizz the mista lazyness..)

btw.. Alienwares aren't that good... they still install os and all that for u.. i hate those services.. cuz they include billions of stuff.. I like gettin waht i need, installing what i need.. and using it one what i need.. :P (im sure others feel that way as well.. so build it instal, use it!)
 
Due to the fact i have to wait liek a million weeks for my case if i buy alienware i decided to go back to building it myself. Saved about $400 too....w00t. Just gotta get it all ordered.
