Seeking suggestions for secure cloud storage

In light of recent events, I'd like to set up daily remote backups for the CGA.

I'm expecting daily backups to weigh in around 300MB. I'd like to store at least 14 days of daily backups (4.2 GB) but would prefer to store 30 days (9 GB).

I look at Amazon S3's product page...and it really didn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm a simple man who can only do simple math (I've probably forgotten everything I learned in college algebra years ago) and I want to know in advance what it's going to cost.

I want to choose something for the CGA that is reliable, reputable, and secure. As with all our expenditures, I want to support a company of character.

So, what do you all suggest? Please include links and at least one reason why you recommend a particular service.

And don't think this is (completely) a cop-out. I plan to do some research as well and contribute to the discussion.

Sorry, I should have specified that we need a host that allows us to transfer via SFTP or SSH.

EDIT: And I just found out that Amazon S3 requires entering credit card information, even for the free account. Boo.

There is no CGA bank account or debit card any more, just Paypal, so if we go with a paid service, it will need to take Paypal.

EDIT#2: If trusted community members are willing, they could set up multiple secure FTP servers and we could have multiple backup sites.

Okay, new question: Does anyone have an Amazon S3 account with some extra space they might be willing to donate? :D

I have a dedicated server that has plenty of storage, that I can get (S)FTP\SSH working on, if it would help out. :) Its the server that hosts the (unofficial) ToJ Minecraft server. Let me know, and I can get it set up pretty easily. :)

Okay, I just finished setting up a computer separate from my home network (but still online) for the purpose of receiving daily backups from the CGA dedicated server. I tested the backup process and confirmed it works!

So that's one remote backup site down.

What should we do for a second?

And I just now saw your post (because I hadn't refreshed my page view for several hours).

Sure, that sounds great! I'll need to coordinate with you to line out the setup. I'll send you a PM so we can get started.
