I'm writing this brief post today to call for a Personnel Director for the Christian Gamers Alliance. The person appointed to this position would be responsible for the following:
- Manage e-mail account collecting all offers for help within the CGA community. This e-mail address, likely volunteer@cgalliance.net, can be set up to the Personnel Director's preferences.
- Correspond regularly with Tek (that's me) regarding choices for new staff appointments.
- After receiving approval from Tek, appoint new CGA staff members. This would mean performing various tasks such as creating accounts, subscribing new staff members to the CGA staff discussion group, and familiarizing them with various web tools (e.g. the CGA news posting script).
- Maintain a Staff Listing page on the CGA web site. This would likely not require HTML experience; if it did, it would require only basic HTML knowledge.
- Answer as many questions from new staff members as possible. Forward all other questions to Tek with an explanation of the situation.
This person would be a tremendous blessing to me personally, allowing me to free up more time to work on upcoming CGA projects. If you are interested in volunteering for this position, please e-mail me at tek7@cgalliance.net.
