4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Sorry for the late post. This is a repost from a while back but such a good passage. I find myself coming back to this as I work through The Love Dare.

Such a great verse. It seems like such a simple verse, and yet I find that I need constant reminders about how I am to love others. I used a variation of this verse when I taught on "Friend Day" back in April.

And before you get upset or worried that I warped Scripture, I merely changed "love" to "my friends" and (my name) for dramatic effect on the second and third readings... I wanted the audience to understand that we have to apply each of those things to our lives and how we interact with others.

Doesn't get much better than "raw" love - straight out of Corinthians 13. Thanks.
