Sale Watch: SSDs

If any of you guys see a great sale on a SSD (120GB or larger), please post a reply here and/or send me a PM. My wife's laptop is running more slowly than a laptop with a mobile i7 ought to and I figure if I can find a great SSD at a great price, I might be able to convince her to upgrade from a spinning drive.

I've never had an SSD, so I don't know how good they are... but before buying one have you cleaned her computer out as well as you can? That might help and you wouldn't have to buy an SSD.

8GB.

The hard drive is definitely the bottleneck in that system. The system was rather fast out of the box and I'm confident (based on my own experience with my desktop) that a SSD would make it scream.

I could wipe and rebuild the drive, but if I have to do that, I might as well just install a SSD and give her a faster computer.
