rotting dragons

ok i have a question...we came across these 'rotting dragons' in magesty rest in prophecies....they are kind of on this little island thing...looks like there is some door in the middle of where they are...I know that they probably have some kind of elite skills i could capture...because I used arcane theievary and captured one for like a minute....but they seem totally impossible to kill.

any suggestions? anybody want to help us try to kill them? any information would be greatly appreciated!

...and I'd be happy to try to kill them with you, provided I found out what they are and stuff.

I solo'ed them with my monk and henchies once, when I was just wandering around getting map. There's a statue there where you can get rid of dp, and I can't even tell you how many times I used it. Took absolutely forever, but he and his goons don't heal at all, so they will die eventually if you pound on them for long enough.
 
map spot of statue? that would make it SOOOOO much easier cuz ive never successfully done a rotwing farm, once u hit 30dp u give up
 
Back before they updated the game with the new greens(Totem Axe, Forgotten Fan, Frozen Fan, Rotwing Recurve Bow, etc...) I used to be able to solo Rotscale with my warrior. But with the new greens they also drastically changed teh spawn around Rotscale as well as changing his skillset around completely. Anyhoo, I monked for a farming group a week or so after they updated the game and on our first run the bow dropped for me. My ranger is very happy needless to say. Anyway all I remember is that there were 2 pure healing monks, 2 ele nukers, a warrior to tank/run to majesty's rest, and the rest I don't remember possibly an ss necro. Anyway it was kinda a long battle but well worth it for me. The key with this run is that NO ONE should have any enchatments on their skillbar. The dragons all have rend enchantments and at their levels they'll take you out really fast if there are any enchantments up.

For the statue to help you, your area will need Favor. When you find the statue, do the /kneel emote to summon an avatar and talk to the avatar to request the help. Each 2% of morale boost will cost 100g.

I thought it was 50gp? not sure tho. Anyway ya he's a boss and you wont kill him by your self. (sorry but its almost impossible) i farmed him for a while, didnt get his bow unfortunately.

PS there is a shire right next to the bridge you go over to Rotscale. helps if you have favor.
