I am actively searching for a newer RTS that we have members playing. Apparently LotR: Battle for Middle-earth isn't it. LOL So, is anyone playing R: TW? I need to find a game I can play a couple of nights a week and someone who wants to play multiplayer as both opposition (to enhance our skills) and then potentially as a team (if that's possible, like a 2 vs. 2 type of thing).
 
I picked the game up for my wife, she didn't like. I Would give you One guess to figure out Why, but I doubt you would need it.
 
get BF2 and rank up a little bit and then be the commander and you can play like an RTS and still play FPS

Appreciate the thought, but that doesn't quite fuel my interest in the Roman Empire or epic 20,000 soldier battles. :D
 
the strat in rome total war is pretty easy even on hard difficulty, i get 2-4 calvery groups, 4-5 infantry (spearmen if possible, 5-6 archer groups, general, and then the rest i will be repeating ballistas/ catapults when available beat the game with like 4 loses (naval) on hard mode as Julius.
 
It can be as hard or easy as you like. There are many other factions to play, but multiplayer is where some real strategy is needed. That's what I'm looking forward to.
 
I recently joined the Tribe of Judah in hopes of finding Christian gamers who play the Total War series, especially Rome Total War. I would be interested in playing on-line if possible.
 
I would like to find Rome Total War players on line if possible. If play all of the Total War series & several mod's.
 
Right now I think I'm the only R:TW player. I'm still playing through my first campaign as the Julii, but I'd love to go online before too awful long. :)
 
I own medieval: TW and Viking Invasion, although for some reason, I dont know where the game disc has gone lately... Am looking to get my paws on Rome: From what I'm hearing, it's really got the goods. Glad to see there's interest on the CGA forum for this excellent franchise.

For now, I stomp all comers in wc3:FT.

Am looking to check out Warhammer 40k, as it looks v. intriguing.

I've finished the campaigns as the Julii, Carthage, & Seliuds. They are very different in what it took to win. I did some on-line games thru RTW on gamespy but there are some very wierd people on that group. I'm sure they are mostly just kids. But many were very experienced in the battle games. I was running about 50/50 depending on if it was a 1v1 or multiplayer. I did better at 1v1 games.

If you need any info on the campaign game, let me know. I'm looking forward to the expansion (Barbarian Invasion) that comes out Tuesday.

If you guys ever manage to hook up online for skirmish, could you keep me (us) posted on this forum? I'd pick the game up or at least borrow it from my cousin if I thought there were people interested in playing.
