I'd like to see where everyboyd is with this, because it is a pet peeve of mine.

That is with scryer\aldor rep items. If we are trying to help each other in a guild, maybe when we are doing instances that drop scryer\aldor reputation items (Fel Armanents, arcane tombs etc) that we roll need on the item if it is for your reputation and greed if it is not. That way we are only competing for the items amongst those who actually need and would use it vs. AH it. And if nobody in our group needs it, we are all greeding it to AH it.
 
I totally agree with this....I would hope that this is already being used, but I think this is a good reminder....we as a guild are here to encourage and help each other...we should be trying to help each other out in this way...
 
Hmm I kind of see the point but there is another way to look at it. Trading Tome for Arm is like super simple. Just about everytime I ask in /2 someone wants to trade.

So in all actuality Tome=Arm. It is just the matter of 5 mins of /trade to make it so.

I think that if someone is going just to AH it then they should greed. If someone is planning to trade it to use for rep then they should be able to need as well.

It is kind of not fair for Aldor as the tempest keep instances offer so much more good loot and they have the Tomes, where the auch instances don't offer much loot and they have the Arms.

If you are honestly going to be using the item for rep (w/ a trade) you should roll need. Other wise it is just for cash and you greed. Is that fair?
 
Mirakle's thoughts are what I have been basing my thoughts on. Been running shadow labs a lot and I am aldor so I am loving the armaments dropping but I tell everyone to greed and once you get one pass until everyone gets one then we all start over. I think its fair as long as everyone is using it to get their rep up, either turning in the item or trading for the correct one for your rep.
 
Just treat them like the Rightous orbs from Strat then Where? I like the idea since I am Scryer and would love to trade them in for my tomes.
 
I have two toons that need faction and chances are they will be one of each...so I just trade them back and forth. So do I roll need on everything or does everyone just greed like in pugs and keep it simple?
 
And now what should be simple is complicated.

The only reason I bring it up is because I've yet to actually win a Fel Armanent, I've had to go to AH to buy them (Reco gave me one and I bought the other). And I haven't done Tempest keep enough to have seen more then a handful drop, and because I've done them with PuGs, I've always followed what the pug did, greed or need.
 
sorry, didn't mean to create a rift. I guess do what ever you feel is fair, just indicate your intentions before the run.
 
in a shadow labs run usually 4 or 5 drop, in 4 or 5 shadow labs runs I have 3 and that was all guild runs just greeding and whoever wins will pass until the rest of us get one then we can all start rolling again
 
I have my rogue on Scryer and my hunter on Aldor. Since I seem to have a hard time finding groups sometimes they both are level 70 now so I just send them off to whoever can use it. I also have been farming for money to buy arcane tomes and fel armaments off the AH some to help get my rep up. It seemed to be easier that way than waiting for one to drop when farming and such. Drop rates aren't the greatest.

I usually ask people in a grp im in if they are scryer if i get stuff for that rep, and on the fel arms stuff , i think that if u get one then pass if another drops and so forth and so forth, now that is only with guild grps, pugs are different story, but when i get scryer stuff i usually just give it to people who needs them in the guild like boimli or baddwin those are the two people i know who are scryer in the guild.I hate that people have had to go to ah to buy stuff like that, just let people know in the guild that u need scryer stuff for rep and iam sure that people who are in aldor faction will let you have thier scryer stuff for trade for aldor stuff, thats how i do it.
