Alright, lets see who is interested in doing what. And being interested doesn't mean just showing up on time for an invite. It means you are also willing to work hard, pay for your own repair bills, regardless of the number of times we wipe, farm any materials needed, getting your first aid up to 300 and what ever else it takes to go.

MC is not a Scholomance run. Yes, there are 40 people who raid MC, but a single mistake by a single person will wipe the whole raid. End game instances are where you bring your A-game, each and every night that its run. Don't say you are interested in doing MC unless you are willing to commit two nights a week to it. Don't say say you are interested in ZG or Onyxia unless you can devout the days to it. This is a little different then the required commitment to the Holicron Knights partnership. In the HK partnership, if a pally can't make it one night, HK has a plethora of Pallies to fill it, or they can fill that position with a Redeemed pally. This poll is to find out interest to doing our own MC\Ony runs with another guild of similiar size. This means, we do not have the luxury of having pools of people to replace somebody who can't show up for a night.

So very seriously consider your own personal commitment to the end game. Quite honestly, if only 10 people can put forward the required commitment for us to do our own MC runs, well, we already have that kind of minority partnership with HK. Remember, you can be prepared to commit to one end game instance and not the others. This is fine. If you can put the required commitement only to MC or Onyxia, may I suggest you vote for Onyxia. If we can get 20 people willing to put forth the required commitment to Onyxia thats great, we can look for a partnership with another guild willing to commit 20 people and we can move forward. This doesn't negate any possibility of doing MC with HK. We currently get a few people into the MC raids casually.

For MC to seriously work outside of our current HK partnership, I need to see a dedicated commitment to running twice a week by a minimum of 20 people. As simple as that. We don't have the deep pools of members to draw from now, maybe in the future, but not now. I as much as anybody would like to see Redeemed doing MC in a more 50/50 partnership or maybe fully on our own, but I don't want to do that prematuraly. The time will come when we can, and that time will be when enough members are willing to commit the time required to do it. Just because our HK team can make it to Ragnorras right now doesn't mean that if we get into a new 50/50 partnership with another guild, that we will be able to clear to rag within a few weeks. It will still be many wipes and many dozens of gold lost in repairs in out attempts.

This poll only has 3 of the raid instances available. This only becomes more complicated with the gates of AQ open and we have the ability to do the AQ20 man instance and the AQ40 man instance nor does it include BWL.

Nevermind raiding, Silithus is loaded with quests and quest lines that can be done solo or in small groups that lead to really decent gear rewards now. And in the upcoming 1.10 Patch, new quest lines will be added that will lead to new epic class sets of near MC quality that can be done with groups at the same level as UBRS requirements and less. And there are going to be some really interesting changes to current superior blue sets.

Before you vote, I want you all to seriously consider all the possibilities in the game, carefully weight what you will get versus what you will give up. Voting "I really don't know what to do", is a viable and honest answer as well.

I am only 49, but when I get the aproprate level, I will commit to somethign as wel, or if I fit into one of them now tell me where and when:D

I will commit to thinking about committing to something that will require a great committment of some sort without wavering one bit to my committment to the fundimental committment, so i am committed.

All that to say, I can't commit long term until i get a job.

With school still on, can't say I can consistently commit to any so strongly yet. So far I've been pretty consistent with ZG (I think). Sounds like Aves is looking for no-exception participation here...

But if my schedule doesn't change, i can probably commit to one of the 20-man instances like ZG or Onyxia. Until I get keyed and geared for Onyxia, I'll stay committed to ZG.

However, once I get my glowing eyes I might retire from all instances for quite some time.

Onyxia is 40 man.

And I'm pretty much looking for no/little exception commitment. I'm getting alot of people asking us to do MC - Onyxia on our own or in a different partnership and I really want to see who is willing to commit what it takes to run that type of instance. For example, if we are going to outfit all our members with major mana\major health, Fire protection potions for the weekly onyxia run, that will be close to 400 potions per week of herbs that we need farmed or bought off the AH. Who is going to do it? Never mind farming for repair bot materials, and fire resist enchant materials.

Running MC and Onyxia runs are not casual runs. They take behind the scenes planning and execution to happen and if people are going to think that joining a MC run is a casual commitment, then its simply not going to happen in house, we simply don't have the pool of players to draw from. At best we have 45 level 60s, take away all the accounts that have multiple 60s and the 60s that are inactive and you are left with at best 20 to 25 60s. And if only 10 are willing to commit to running Onyxia and MC in house, then I need to find a guild that can supply a steady 30 to fill the remaining spots. This will leave us in a position no different then what we have with Holicron Knights.

As far as finding people who are wholly commited, I think you'll only pick up about 10 people.

I have spurts when I play, and even when I'm playing as much as I can in a week I won't be able to make the runs depending on what day they fall on, simply because of my work schedule. I would love to join the guild on an MC run, but I simply cannot promise to do it. However, I will make as much of an effort as I want to (funny huh? It's a saying I have) to attend, if it can fall on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday, or late at night.

When april rolls around i will be getting back into School. I like running instances. But after that time i dunno when i will be able to get on.

yeah, yeah, I know I'm only lvl 26 as of last night, but I had been raiding all the above for the last 6 months on horde (different server), I know that some of you guys have MC raiding experience, but I was specifically involved with cofounding a guild to do exactly what you're talking about in this thread (specifically to do these end-game instances).

I don't want to walk in and act like "I know everything", but I just wanted to give you guys a single peice of advice from MANY MONTHS of struggling through these very issues:

It's just not possible to do these 40 man MC/Onyxia/BWL raids entirely as a single guild without a minimum of 60 (1 1/2 a 40 man raid) (dedicated) people. I assume that many of you guys are like me (that's why I wanted to join you!) and you either try to balance your real lives with WoW, or are trying to learn how to do so (which is what I'm doing). So, I would have to say you guys need to double this to a pool of 80 lvl 60's who are semi-dedicated. In fact, I could go into much more detail why I have experience in knowing that 80 might be the magic number, but I won't waste your time. This is all assuming you want guild only raids.

Of course there are ways to do this with alliances and such. Like you're already doing. We did this too at first; but it didn't work well... for reasons that I would hope wouldn't be an issue with you guys. It sounds like things are working well for you guys at this time, and if so, this is very good. Of course, our guild got impatient and just wanted to be independent; which in the end was gratifying, but it caused a lot of problems/drama when we cut off our old alliances and during the weeks of wipes and poor attendence until we started to get things down.

Oh, and these 80 people don't only need to commit to being in attendance ~50% of the raids each, but they all, also, need to be involved during the week with farming materials and rep to continue supplying your raiding teams.

Anyway, I'm totally with you guys when the day comes to do all the great end-game stuff whether as a single guild or with your current alliances. But I just wanted to share some of this experience with you so that you can plan more appropriately.

BTW - the 20 man stuff (ZG and the new AQ) is still fun too :)

pz - Jilline <--- planning to only raid Deadmines for many months to come! LOL

DOH onyxia IS 40 man isnt it...

I dunno, GP...looks like unless we can get many, many level 60's very, very quickly having us run these as a Redeemed alone seems very unlikely for at least a few more months.

For ZG we're practically grabbing people off the streets to join us; MC or Onyxia for Redeemed only seems a ways yet. Hopefully we've recruited some hard core players; those that will be 60's in 3 months ;)

And...what ever became of Sabersig and Sampsonnite and those others?

Im only lvl 52 right now, but With my school schedule it would be very easy for me to commit to the endgame raids. So once I hit 60, I am there to help out all the time

I'm currently lvl 51, but with the exception of Thursdays, my schedule is pretty free right now so as I soon hit 60 (I'm going to take a rough guess and say =< 4 weeks from now) I should have plenty of time for raiding. I went ahead and marked myself for all of them.

There is really only one day I can commit to doing those runs, Saturday, weeknights are a no for except on rare occassions, Sundays are a no as well due o church responsibilities.

Viva La Scholo!!! For Life!! :D :)
