Redeemed and Raiding

At this time Redeemed is announcing we will be suspending our efforts in Team Eternity.

The leadership of Redeemed has given great time, energy, thought, and prayer to the decision of suspending current TE raiding participation. This suspension is due to several items, but mainly as a result of the upcoming release of BC and the changes that will come with it. We would like to take time to do some work in-house, so to speak, and encourage our members to spend time leveling, exploring new areas, working on new tradeskills\gathering, but even more importantly on building on our current in-guild relations with one another. We will utilize this extra time to help train our more experienced players with leadership of in-guild raids on some instances (ZG, AQ20, and MC for example) as well as train our newer to 60 and more casual members with these raids. This is a time of growth, and with this expansion comes the need to "expand" one's own boundaries. We would like to encourage you, as we will be doing for our members, to continue to group together for questing, leveling, PvP, and elsewise as we journey down this new path. We in no way mean this as a seperation factor but rather as a time to re-gather and re-strengthen ties within our own guild. We will take the time necessary to do this and as such give no time frame as to which we may re-continue, if so allowed, to raid with TE. During this process we wish to maintain our relations with Sanctification, as well as keeping an open door for discussions. Please feel free to contact any of the leaders of Redeemed for questions\comments, and let's work hard on putting our people on the forefront to a better and more Godly gaming environment together. We wish you all great peace and blessings, as we remain ever faithful to the bonds between us all.

2 Peter 1:5-8 - "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

If the floor here is open then I like to say something real quick:

I think that when we have such big groups and strong unions there comes a time for leadership and with leadership you have to be strong in deciding what is best for the group as a whole. As a leader all you could hope for is that everyone will agree to what you think is right. I think everyone that has a leadership role in this guild only wants nothing but good itself to endure in this game and time. This guild has taught such valuable lessons that there is more to life than just fulling everything you can do in this game. There is something way better than items, than gold, than power itself, the real treasure is the people you play with. People that you would love to know in real life. People that you enjoy your time with and discover who they are and good things they believe in. Redeemed is not the only guild with these people but Sanctification too has such great people. These two guilds may now have separate goals but I believe they still both have strong hearts and such hearts shall be together someday in the Burning Crusade :)

I have stepped down as guild leader of Sanctifiation. I have failed to keep the relationship what it should be between the two guilds.

Gilga is now the new guild leader of Sanctification.

I think for you to shoulder this "failure" would be unfair.

There are many things that go into it. To boil it down to one person would be quite wrong.

Sorry to see this happen Goblit, but I see no reason it should cause any trouble since you have a good history of being a strong leader and you can still remain a leader no matter what position you hold. You don't have be the guild master or a member of Redeemed to be a great person in World of Warcraft and I believe you most certainty are. Never worry about the people that disbelieve in you, only worry about believing in yourself and believing in what is right. Courage and self-confidence is what you need, and with that no failure or disbelief shall overcome you :)

Nobody I know of feels Goblit has been a failure and we all believe in her. She does not believe in herself and we all need to let her work things out with herself. If the game causes you pain or grief then laying off the game is a good answer. The game and all of us will always be there for you when you are ready to get back to the fun of it all and back to playing the game instead of the game playing you:)

I wouldn't say I agree with this. In fact, I think it's more of a wedge in the two guilds to now say "we don't want to raid with you". I dunno. For the most part, the people I know and play with frequently are in Sanct. And I try to bridge some of the gap by having NTF in Redeemed and Zacch in Sanct.

I'm going to removed my toons from Redeemed. Sanct has been good to me and I call it more home than I do Redeemed. Thanks for the support you've given me while leveling up Zacch and NTF.

You know where to find me.

Zacch you have a very good post here with valid reasons, however I must disagree with you on:
"we don't want to raid with you"
.

BC is coming out and there will be new style raids available, with a new class and all classes will have new abilities. Currently, some members dont know how to manage their character, whether it be a paladin, warrior, warlock, priest... whatever, in a raid, or even in some cases, a group. These people need practice.

Secondly:
We in no way mean this as a seperation factor but rather as a time to re-gather and re-strengthen ties within our own guild. We will take the time necessary to do this and as such give no time frame as to which we may re-continue, if so allowed, to raid with TE. The leaders of Redeemed mean no harm.

Goblit, You cant do everything. Assuming that you've failed is rather rash. No one person can run an entire guild.

So you shut down TE indefinitely (we all know neither Redeemed nor Sanctification can field a full 40-man raid alone) -- a team that was always a joint venture including many guilds over it's lifetime -- and then make comments like you hope to be allowed back as if TE was run by Sanctification...

Sounds very much like "we don't want to raid with you." When relations between the guilds always centered around raiding and you cut the joint raiding... friendships won't be cut but apparently reinforcing them isn't a priority here.

I mean I'm not bitter in the least, but all the pretty language about relations and intentions really doesn't change the fact that you've said, "We're finished raiding with Sanctification indefinitely." I'll really miss playing with you guys and I hope you can get comfortable with your classes soon so we can get back to playing together!

I hear what you are saying Deamiter. One of the reasons we stopped raiding was because as you said, "guild relations between the guilds always centered around raiding". The raiding environment hasn't exactly been healthy lately. (It's not one sides fault, it's both sides)

The goal is to take a step back, repair the relationship, then see if we can't start raiding together again.

We never said that redeemers couldn't group up with people from sanct. In fact, we had several people from sanct including Goblit and Gilga in last nights ZG raid. (Again, I appreciate all the sanct people who showed up last night to help us get started!!!)

I definitely miss raiding with the team, and I’m looking forward to beginning again as a healthy team!
