Well, it's official. ToJ #2 is dead. Funeral arrangements have been made and the viewing is right now. Say your last good-byes.

We've been having some issues with laggy servers (the server provider) and are currently looking for other better solutions, which in most cases means more money.

If you are willing to commit to a monthly donation and the donations are good enough we can get a really decent server. Until then, please be patient with our servers and problems.

toj#2 had all the good maps, and im working on a server so that toj#2 death wont be in vain

Where is this server being hosted? What are the specs of the server and what are the bandwidth allocations?

Also, if you are going to be affiliated with ToJ, the server must "conform" to ToJ's rules to maintain the credibility of the ToJ community. Undestandably, if this is not something you're willing to consider then you can do whatever you decide to do with it.

Let me know what's going on with this. Babo started his own server and he agreed to give all current admins on #1 access to his server. He also agreed to keep the same rules as well. Unfotunately, #2 won't be around.

Man that sux, Im sorry to hear it. I know it was in bad health but jeez man *starts to cry*

It was a good server while it was here....God be with it.

i dont mind it conforming to toj rules and regulations nor giveing orignal admins their powers, however im still working out a few glitches and u can help me out on that stuff HEREHERE spec wise its not to powerful its a 320 mb machin with 5 gig, bandwith not sure im working on it though

Sounds like this is a personal box. Also, I don't see any system specs in the message you reference. Are you running it off your home network? If so, what is your broadband upload speed? Or if you don't know, do you know the name and website of your ISP to check out your upload speed and see how many people can be on your server?

This is very important on home connections as your upload speed will drastically limit the number of players you can have on the server. For example, a 368 kbs upload speed (which is average for most cable modems) only allows for 3-5 players to connect without experience massive amounts of lag.

Goodbye now i have to dellet it off my favorites list *cries to*

And i wonder how i can get a credit card age of 12

. and ummm cough its running 56k modem cough. and home network is nearly none existent

running a server from a home connection is not a good idea.

you run the risk of losing your internet service that way. I know that my agreement with my ISP (and I'm on cable internet) states that they can revoke my service if I'm running a publically accessible server (i.e. a game or web server) from my residential connection.

I for one will miss the server, but I just think we can do a lot more better for even less. The search is on, just not sure exactly how long it will take. I didn't even get that good of a connection on the server anyways... Id like to find something a little more stable/reliable. And one that doesnt have problems with running commands!

Thanks to all who supported the server, it had a short life... but I think it was worth the small effort put into it!
At least now I know a bit more about the nonsense lol

well runnign a off home network is all i can do at moment, any suggestions that may help such as running it somehwere else or somethin that i dont know about??
