Has anyone ever read R.A. Salvatore? He wrote the Icewind Dale Trilogy and the Dark Elf Trilogy, amongst many others. His most famous character is Drizzt Do'Urden, a drow, in the Forgotten Realms part of D&D. I'm in the 2nd Dark Elf Trilogy book, Exile. Great series.
The books gave me a new idea for a book. Sure, it may be a bit alike, but look what John Flanagan did with his Ranger's Apprentice, to Raymond Feist's Magician series...I love that Drizzt is born in a world of evil and shadow, filled with deceit, murder, and stuff like that, yet he's the most innocent person out there. Throughout the series he holds to his beliefs, never wanting to kill a drow out of spite (okay..there may be a few times..but we all falter...) anyways, I'd love to do something like that. Any ideas?
