Hey everyone have you ever noticed how many times that Jesus asks questions? Why do you suppose He does that? Hmmmmm.
He sure asks alot of questions. But in asking He forces us to widen our way of thinking and causes us to exam our own hearts.
Take a look at one of His questions here in John 5:44 Jesus was Speaking to the religious folks here, and He asked "How can you believe if you receive praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?"
These guys Jesus was talking to were nothing but a bunch of no nothing religious suck ups. They pretty much kissed each others behinds. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
The did not even believe in the word of God that Moses wrote by the spirit of God.
Jesus new cause look what He asks in John 5;47 "But if you do not believe his writings (what Moses wrote in the old testament), how will you believe in my words?"
Now I was just giving one example of how Jesus uses questions here but my real point is that we really need to look more closely at all of His questions that He poses.
It's quite obvious that His questions have a real purpose for us don't you think?
