Question about Nintendo's Wii.

Does anyone know if the Wii can act as a DVD player as well? My Xbox finally bit the big one the other day and I'm looking to replace it with something else. I wanted to go the Wii route because I'm a huge Zelda fan.

No it doesn't act as a DVD player. Nintendo said that the Wii didn't need a DVD player because the average household already has 2 of them. Adding a DVD player would increse the cost, so they did not include it, which kept the Wii at a resonable price for a gaming system.
