o Supported OS: Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / Vista64
o Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
o Memory: 1 GB
o Graphics: 128 MB, Shader model 2.0, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better
o Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
o Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

o Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz
o Memory: 1 GB

I believe so. I had a 1.8ghz CPU with a 8600gt and it ran fine on high no-AA.

What!? 1.8Ghz!?

The Minimum is 3.0Ghz P4.

You are very close, Proverb.

I run a 2.4Ghz AMD and it runs better on everything, Low.
7900GS, 2.9GB Ram.

I can understand if its a 1.8Ghz Dual Core, but SINGLE CORE!

That is unbelievable.

Interestingly, you can try the game for free on Friday, Proverb.

That way, you can see if it works or not.

corp, its prolly a dual core or possibly tri or quad.

proverb, i think it will work on lower graphics and be ok but are you able to play CSS and HL2 games ok?

I don't own L4D but I have played it at a friend's house. It did not look that graphically challenging (like Bioshock or Gears of War 2 is).

I am not surprised a 1.8ghz comp ran it.

Proverb - All of the specs you listed of your computer are above the minimum and some of the recommended specs. You should be fine.

For the record, it was an AMD Sempron 1.8ghz. I just tweak a lot of settings to get things to run. :p

You should be fine. You've got me beat on everything but processor and it runs great on medium settings on my machine. And since L4D isn't incredibly processor intensive for the client side you should be great.
