I had posted this a while before, but had taken the download link down because I wanted to add all singles expert and novice charts to this doubles expert only pack as well as resyncing many of the songs. Still, not every song is perfectly on sync and at least 1 of the songs is very off sync, but this revision to the first release is a major improvment. If you happened to download the first release of this pack here is what is new.....

Fixed some step issues with some of the doubles expert charts.
Added a singles expert chart to all 26 songs in the pack.
Added novice steps to all 26 songs in the pack.
Huge syncing improvments for almost every song.

Here is a list of the songs in this pack with the step information. Please feel free to share feedback about this pack and the stepcharts. I appretiate it. God bless.

I don't know what this is, how do I use it?

These are sim files for machine dance games like DDR, PIU, ITG etc. The best dance simulated program to play these files (in my opinion) is a program called open ITG which can be downloaded here....

http://openitg.gr-p.com/

Simply make a songs folder for openitg (Or another stepmania source engine if you choose) and highlight all of the downloaded songs and drag them into your songs folder. Load up Open ITG and you are good to go. If you have dance pads that connect to usb, than you can actually play these files like they were meant to be played. You can also convert these songs to OGG and play them on an R21 (or higher) ITG 2 machine at the arcade. If you don't have an arcade nearby or a dance pad, you can always play these songs on keyboard. I did make these songs intentionally for pad users. The best dance pads you can get for home are arcade modded cobalt flux pads.

Woah! Now that's cool. Those cobalt pads do look great. Could you also please recommend the cheapest usb pads that are useable.

Gah! Why won't it let me edit my post to put a new link up >.<

Anyway, The top link will no longer work now. Please download this link below. I took the older link down because I reuploaded it to the site so that when you download the pack you will download the actual song files and not the smzips for each song.

As for pad reccomendations, I was about to list red octane, but I justed checked their website and they got shut down and are out of business. Mymybox used to be king of making dance pads called the blueshark. I actually ordered a pad from them a while ago, but they no longer ship their pads out anymore. If you live in California, you might be able to drive there and get one ^_^; I don't trust other companies when it comes to making metal dance pads. I have done a lot of research and have tested many different kinds of pads and cobalt flux may be expensive, but they are worth the extra cost considering that they have a full year warrenty. If you wait until next Christmas. They have some nice sales on pads and if you buy 2 pads, they take 20 dollars off and throw in a free doubles bar to connect your pads. That's what I did. I ordered 2 flux arcade modded pads during their Christmas sale. If you still aren't hardcore about dance games, you can always buy a cheap 5 to 10 dollar soft dance mat that connects to usb. It's fine for any songs that are under a 9 rated difficulty, but I have no idea how long that soft pad will last you.

To danny * You don't need a dance pad to play these. I know a few people who don't play dance games, but simply enjoy using the computer keyboard keys insted of stepping on arrows to play stepmania. It's still a fun rythmic game wheather you use your fingers or feet.

I started to do some looking around for a dance pad (I think my daughter would love this), and found out that Digital Praise makes a dance pad for their PC dancing game...I imagine it would work for this.

I can't remember if we're allowed to link out to stores, but the store page for it is http://store.digitalpraise.com/dancepads.aspx

Alright, I'm not going to bash that game because it's a nice game that glorifies God, but there's honestly no gameplay value to that game. I actually offered that company to do stepcharts for them and also asked how many people work on these charts and they said only 1. The charts are so bad that I really feel that it's one guy operating stepmania and hitting the computer "auto generate" steps for their charts without any thought or effort put into them at all. I wouldn't be surprised if the timing windows for the highest grade for rythm were as loose as the getting a bad or decent in ITG either. I know that most 4 or 5 year old kids could have fun with that, but it can only last so long before they get bored of doing the same steps, difficulty, and patterns over and over with charts that make absolutley no sence at all. If you do buy 1 or 2 flux pads (2 pads can be used by 2 players or one player alone called doubles mode) make sure to buy or put windows XP on the computer you will play on. Windows vista and 7 are both horrible operating systems for the stepmania engine and I had an awful time trying to get the pads to work on those OS.

I also forgot to mention that many of the songs in this pack use a certain type of step called a "roll" in which most versions of stepmania do not support this resulting in a game crash once the roll hits the top line. The best program (Which is still stepmania source code) Is called OpenITG. OpenITG will support rolls and is overall the most amazing engine for dance games to this date. Download the latest version (Beta 3 will be coming soon)

Gah! Why won't it let me edit my post to put a new link up >.<
Because years ago, someone abused the Edit button and we changed the forums settings to only allow users with standard access to edit their posts within 48 hours. Yes, one person had to go and ruin it for everyone else.

Moderators and Administrators can edit posts after 48 hours, though.

Wait, what? Red Octane is out of business?

NOOOOOOO!

Hey tek i still can't edit my post >.< It's been well over 5 days now.
Right, since you don't have moderator rights on this forum and since 48 hours have passed, you won't be able to edit your post.

Now if it were a post in the UT Chapter Forums, it would be a different story.
